AWE Resonated touring is also pretty loud even with the stock downpipe. I posted a takeoff video a few pages back where you can get somewhat of a feel for volume.
I definitely wouldn't consider it a quiet exhaust but it's not at all obnoxious either.
They're a similar split 5 spoke design but not quite the same. The carbon wheels have sharper angles and the wheels pictured on the mystery supra seem to be an inch bigger in diameter.
VS
On older BMWs that was typically caused by the rear trailing arm bushings (RTABs) being shot. I'm not really sure how similar the supra suspension is in the rear.
It sounds like you have something lose or a bad bushing in the rear suspension somewhere though.
Edit: My 2023 MT does not pull...
It's definitely a pain to get it adjusted right. It ends up being a balance of tightening/loosening the mid pipes, the AWE bracket and the muffler sections until you get it just right.
I’ll get a better video at some point but here’s AWE touring - resonated on a stock down pipe. It’s pretty loud as is. I’m definitely glad I didn’t go with the unresonated version.
Installed the AWE Touring - Resonated on my otherwise stock exhaust. It's pretty much the perfect volume increase without being obnoxious. Zero drone and sounds amazing. It's actually a little quieter inside cruising since I disabled ASD at the same time.
Install was fairly easy other than...
That was one of the colors I was looking at. This color is called Ultra Black Chrome from the same company (Prismatic).
In hindsight, I wish I would have went with a bright silver but I like this color well enough in the sun.
Had a set of the 20-22 wheels powdercoated for a winter set. They didn't turn out quite like I had hoped but they look fine for a winter set. I wanted something a little brighter.
These have a lot of color shift based on the lighting.
How does he have that much experience with them? I can't imagine that many people have already been to his shop to upgrade to that specific clutch considering there have only been around ~1200 manuals sold so far.
It's the same gear set used in the f80/g80 m3 and there have been a bunch of high power builds on those platforms. The manual is new enough on this platform that there aren’t many yet but you can find plenty of examples on those forums.
The transmission itself should be very strong. We’ll see...
Had a guy powdercoat a set for me and just got these pictures today. He said something happened in the gloss coat process that made them kind of blotchy but I'm going to go check them out in person on Monday before having him redo them.
If I don't like them, he's going to redo them for free...
