Yeah I just can't think of a reason for the car to be setup to suppress power when low on fuel. Doesn't make sense for it to purposefully happen.

This is probably all in my head, but I've felt like when my car is on 1 or 2 bars (about 50m remaining and when it switches to "reserve"), the power the car is putting down feels flat. I rarely let it get that way, maybe 3 times, and when I fill it up, it feels like the car behaves normally...
