Oh believe me I know...
This isn't the first FJ40 i've "resto-modded"....I helped my cousin restore his FJ40 years ago, and it not only took alot of money but also alot of time. These cars look simple to work on, but it's all in the details (i.e., making parts fit flush, panel gaps lineup...
Just picked up straight chassis (no accidents) with original VIN tags and title.
I plan on doing a resto-mod with a 1FZ and a bunch of expedition gear.
Will post pics soon...car doesn't arrive for another two weeks.
Yes, that’s exactly right....and???
I’m also the guy who realized that you should never judge a car based on its concept. Not quick to point that out though huh? ;)
Why is everyone getting their panties in a bunch.....it’s a CONCEPT right??? Concepts usually have “chicken wire” mesh and other basic materials when demo’ing a CONCEPT. Relax and wait!
The C8 is very hard to beat...no matter what negative angle you come at it with.
Chevy did what a lot of manufacturers are not willing to take the risk to do nowadays. That should be enough to show everyone the power of the Vette’s brand in this country.
Ha!....I know what you mean...lol.
Stephan is a fantastic engine builder with “close connections” to Toyota. He’s been in the game longer than some people’s age on this forum.
750whp - 800whp is VERY Impressive for a platform that has been in the market for what....a few months??? Can’t wait until the platform matures :headbang:
The coils didn’t surprise me tbh, but the use of stock bearings was questionable. I know he’s going after 1000hp on as many stock components as possible, but when your that far tearing apart the block, why not put in some race bearings?
nonetheless, the motor looks fantastic! Nice job Stephan!
