  1. The MKIV vs MKV Thread

Did the MKIV hit 4.6s consistently? I can only find a single source of a 4.6s run while all the other runs were 5.0-5.4s
  2. Analysis, Comments & Reactions from the Web about the new Supra

That’s an interesting interpretation of information. BMW’s most reliable car is also built at Magna Steyr, G30 5 series, and is second in its class for reliability falling just short of the Lexus GS. It’s easy to say they’re being lazy if you have never been a part of a team before. You can...
  3. A90 Supra engines and parts diagrams (all) revealed!

I’m not sure if it has been mentioned here or not but the A90 is being built alongside the new BMW Z4 so there will definitely be BMW parts on the car
  4. Shoulda just used the V35A-FTS from the LS500

Youre about 7 years too late on that one
  5. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

I personally believe they are waiting to see what Nissan does with the Z and the VR30. The VR30 is solely automatic and it wasn't until SEMA last October that Nissan brought a 370z concept with a 6MT VR30. If that goes to production, I am certain Toyota will put a manual in the car
  6. Shoulda just used the V35A-FTS from the LS500

I understand Toyota doesn't have an inline 6 but its not like Toyota is absent minded of how they work and things that can be tweaked to improve the. The new timing chain is a good example of this (mind you, this is an example so I am not saying Toyota made this change) in how the new timing...
  7. 2020 Toyota GR Supra Photoshop Thread (based on production car)

The car looks so much better without all the body lines. The extra lines for the hood in the "fender" area and the door piece make the sides too busy and the front look empty
  8. Shoulda just used the V35A-FTS from the LS500

The v35a would have been my preference but toyota thought not having an inline would be a deal breaker. But they also did that survey years before the v35a when they only had NA v6 and NA v8 options Nonetheless, who is to say Toyota didn't have a hand in the modular B architecture since mass...
  9. The Z4 (382hp/3.9 0-60) is more powerful & quicker than Supra (335hp/4.1 0-60)

Looks like it only needs an exhaust upgrade to hit 382
  10. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

*Hippie voice* Its about the feel, not the power
  11. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

Especially when Chevy can do it with Camaros and Corvettes, not to mention their prices even overlap
  12. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

I don't see how this is an issue. Other companies have figured it out just fine
  13. Guesses on CHP? Is Toyota Sandbagging? (Is the Supra faster than they say?)

I don't think they are sandbagging but I do think they are using a number other than what is rated at the crankshaft (like BMW). 335hp puts it just enough above the V6 Lexus vehicles without undermining them 365 lbâ‹…ft puts it just below V8 Lexus vehicles to not interfere. The RC-F would have...
  14. The Z4 (382hp/3.9 0-60) is more powerful & quicker than Supra (335hp/4.1 0-60)

I’m so lost. I’m guessing BMWBlog’s article is wrong then? Which cars have the O1? Why does the M1 X5 only make 335hp here in the US? Is this why the A90 and X5 have different turbos on realoem?
  15. Guesses on CHP? Is Toyota Sandbagging? (Is the Supra faster than they say?)

Did they say that it makes 335 wheel horsepower or did they say "the motor sends 335hp to the wheels?"
  16. Official 2020 Toyota Supra US Specs, Images, Videos

Is there a source on that?
  17. Official 2020 Toyota Supra US Specs, Images, Videos

It isn't. BMW updated their 0-60 claim on the Z4 to be 3.9s
  18. Official 2020 Toyota Supra US Specs, Images, Videos

It's the M1 not the M0. It can be seen in the live reveal when the CGI powertrain is driving down the road
