Did mine last week and everything went largely ok. I DIDN’T remove the wheels, and if I had to do it again, I’d have taken the recommendations to change the Phillips head screws for hex heads. Otherwise went well.
You’re right that lifecycle analysis is important in calculating carbon footprint, but we can significantly reduce our carbon footprint once we are doing this at scale (widely). Yes, it’s inefficient if only a few of us are doing it, but once many or most of us are doing it, the math changes...
You’d definitely need a lot of curiously cool stickers to get that kind of HP gain. My experience is that a single sticker is worth maybe 5 - 7hp and maybe +3 charisma.
So, optimistic.
armed with a warranty, I beat the hell out of my M240i (also powered by a B58). Zero issues. I’m either running WOT or mashing the bugeezus out of the brakes. That’s a big part of why I felt perfectly comfortable buying a Supra.
Agreed. To get $45K OTD, one would need the car price to be around $42.2ish for PA (estimate). I can’t imagine getting close to that. Hard even if there was a $4k incentive. Seems like a hard mark to achieve.
I have a 2018 M240i (B58) with 23k miles. It consumes very little oil despite almost always being driven WOT (the moral hazard of a warranty. Only mechanical issue was an O2 sensor that went wonky.
Damn those holes they put in your front end.
I had that happen once AFTER I asked make-ready not mount the holder. When I pointed out the mistake, they were very apologetic. I was able to negotiate a backup camera and mirror with display as compensation (for a 370 Z); which was a dealer option...
Admittedly, I know not a lot about electronics and car audio, so if anyone here is in the know, please advise:
I already have an LC2i LOC. Is there any reason I should purchase the kit that includes the Wavtech LOC or is it OK to purchase that only includes the pnp harness?
Koons Arlington, their smallest location perhaps (and in a funky location), actually gave me the best deal. And they listened to reason. I pointed out it was just before the holidays and they were selling a sports car with summer tires and not a high volume sales car. The sales manager...
Your frankness and insight here is, at least by me, greatly appreciated.
I actually find the whole process interesting from both market and human behavioral perspectives.
Anyway, thanks for posting.
I have Sport plus on my M240i. Disables the traction control as described above. I typically drive that B58 I Sport all of the time. Because my Supra isn’t past its break-in period, I keep in in “old man in the left lane with left blinker on” mode for now.
That is what I did. I ended up getting a 3.0 Premium w/DA that stickered for $56.7k for $48.9k (plus tax and registration) just before Christmas (so, price includes $1,500 incentive). I was good with that. As I’ve posted here before, a nearby Carmax sells Supras new and at very low prices and I...
