Hey all! I've started doing some research on carbon hoods and noticed there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of data regarding hood weights. Especially the OEM hood. The only measurement I've found so far is for the HGK OEM sized kevlar/carbon hood, it's estimated to be 8kg /17.5ish lbs.
If we...
Ive had them on my car for 2 track events and maybe ~2-3k of street driving. Overall they're very quiet, even cold. That being said I am just bringing my car out of hibernation from the winter and I heard some squeal, not sure if thats just from a bit of rust on the rotors however.
As for...
While yes $250 may seem like a lot, keep in mind the only other magnetic paddle shifter on the market (as far as I'm aware) is the JQ works magnetic paddle set. While yes they're nice, they also go for $450 AND require you to remove the airbag for install. Personally, $200 less and a 1min...
Hey everyone, I recently ordered a set of 777 Performance magnetic paddle shifters and noticed there wasn't a whole lot of discussion regarding them on the forum. Figured I'd share these as it's a pretty compelling option for those who may not want to go through the steps of removing the factory...
Just a thought, obviously motor mounts are the way to go but seems like the install is a PITA, has anyone given any thought to trying an Engine Torque Damper? I know they were more of a thing on like s2000s but considering it should be a 15 min install compared to the mounts I feel like any...
Hey everyone, with my new wheel/tire setup, rhe spacers and ride height of my eibach springs aren't playing too nice so in looking for some lightly used HKS Adjustable springs.
Ideally I'd do $600 shipped to 15216. Although I'd be willing to drive a bit to pickup a set if you're not too far...
Personally I like the look of both but the thought of smacking an expensive carbon lip on a curb makes me cringe ?. Something semi flexible and satin would be perfect. I'm making an Aimgain replica in a semi-flexible fiberglass resin so we'll see how that goes
That was a different company. In the post they mention its essentially an axleback/muffler delete for now but I believe there will be a catback option. What's cool is they're hoping to integrate the OEM valve too.
Hey everyone, I just started installing my SS lines from forge motorsport and I'm a bit concerned with how it connects to the hardline. The stock female connector fits through the tab connected to the chassis and between that connector and the nut on the hardline is a spring/spacer thing that...
Hey everyone, recently I saw a shot of a supra with some Ings +1 aero along with what looks like a GT4 hood vent featured in a SpeedHunters article (http://www.speedhunters.com/2021/10/supras-and-a-whole-lot-more/). I really want to find out more on that hood vent, would anyone happen to know...
Oh wait I happened across this thread with your logs, I'll link it here for others who may find it useful.

Thanks for the data btw!
Yeah it would be nice to see a stickied post showing "hey these temp ranges are optimal for stock setup" or something like that. Currently I am all stock other than an intake and catback. Probably going to do a trans tune this year but I dont think I'll be pushing extra power for a while.
I do the same with my phone and bimmerlink. May be a bit of a dumb question, but what's considered "high" in terms of coolant/oil Temps? I've had my car put away for winter for the last few months so I kinda forgot what operating Temps I was seeing consistently.
Laid fiberglass (for the first time ever) in a mold (also first time making that) of a 3d printed aimgain lip I made. Will it work? Maybe. Will I probably smash it within the year? Probably. Are there air bubbles in the layup? Most definitely. Was it a good learning experience? Hell yeah it was ?
Ah I wasn't aware you couldn't get your KWs rebuilt? Or maybe I just misunderstood you. Ideally something like Ohlins or maybe MCS would be nice but since I'm still relatively novice I'm not sure I'd get the benefit of $4k coils vs $2500 or so. That being said, going the route of HKS springs is...
