Hey all, I'll be headed to the tail for a couple days to drive and hike and so on. Unfortunately my friends that were planning on coming couldn't make it so its just me. let me know if any of you are in the area I'd love to meet up and go for a drive!
Something I haven't seen discussed as much regarding the sp1r is how much trimming is needed to fit the verus rear diffuser. I understand the rk titanium signature exhaust fits though.
I agree with razorlab, however my car came with the front end ppf from factory. Personally, I think that's enough, I don't mind the wear and tear from track days and such but knowing there's just a bit of extra protection is nice.
There is another option you may want to consider though. Take a...
Hey everyone! For a bit now I've been planning a trip to TotD and Nashville. Originally I had a few friends who were going to accompany me but ultimately it all fell through. So now I'm just going on my own! I'll be staying near Deal's Gap and driving the Tail and the surrounding roads from Oct...
I was at a friend's wedding the past weekend and drove the supra there. While the bride's father was giving his speech, her uncle decided it was a perfect time to quite literally sneak up behind me and talk to my about it despite the whole tent being dead silent ?‍♂️. Then after politely trying...
If you don't mind sticking around for a bit I'd love to hear your thoughts on the 911 after a bit of driving in comparison to the Supra! I always look ahead to what i think I'd like next and I've been contemplating a gt4 or 992S/991.2 S/GTS/T.
Beautiful 911!!
Ahh got it. Printing that should be relatively easy, I'd have to experiment a but in terms if leaving enough room for 3m tape underneath but that shouldn't be too bad. Printing a mold for them to be made in CF should be easy too.
Someone with an SLA printer could knock these out with pretty...
I'm not quite sure I'm familiar with the "covers" but shoot me a pic and I bet I could try and work something out. irixyoctane could probably take a print I make and do something in carbon as well.
Ngl I wish I knew. I used to have an STI and an impreza when I lived in MI near Detroit. I moved back to PA with no other change and my yearly payment dropped by $900.
Pro tip: don't live in MI ?
Also, just as another lil update. I tried posting a "for sale" thread with my 3d printed spats but it got taken down for being an unauthorized rep :/ so not sure how to go forward with these.
I'm on Eibachs with a front swaybar. I've had them on for 2 track days and am a relative noob to tracking (I normally do autoX). Overall, I like them quite a bit! They are stiffer but when setting the dampers to "normal" the spring rate vs damping rate is quite well matched for on street...
I don't know if this helps at all but I've seen someone running the rk-titanium single exit with the verus diffuser. Obviously not the same design but they did it without any cutting.
If you all are interested, I'd imagine I could design a flipdown/extension for the mirror to cover more of the windshield and 3d print sets. I don't know ow how feasible it would be but doesn't seem that difficult!
Ahh thanks for reminding me!
Unfortunately I've decided to end the development on these. A couple days ago someone posted a thread originally from a bmw forum detailing a custom magnetic paddle shifter setup specifically made for bmw/supra wheels. It fits much better than anything I could...
Without diving into the SCCA rulebook I'd hesitate to say "stay away from bride seats". SOME models are FIA approved, not all, but still. I'd assume that would carry some weight. My housemate is running bride zeta IVs in his S2k for gridlife, autocross, and TNiA events.
Someone with more...
