Thanks for the input everyone. I was away from my car for a few days so I couldn't test myself. I did just realize there is no separate "exhaust" mode from "engine". I was hoping I could keep the linear throttle response and do away with the burbles. Oh well, guess I'll just wait
Right I understand that, however let's say I go catless or single exit and want to run everything in sport just minus the obnoxious pops would I be able to go into individual and set the exhaust to "normal" and fix it?
How about a center exit exhaust replacing the backup light and moving that function to LEDs where the reflectors are? The black part of the bumper is ~$200 so hacking one of those up for a diffuser to go with the exhaust would be sweet too.
A swan neck wing with uprights actually over the hatch...
Hey all!
I've been considering a single exit exhaust for my locked 21' but I'd rather not sound like an AK everytime I let off. I understand while in sport mode there is increased burbles/pops due to overrun but can anyone confirm if that is caused by the engine being in "sport" or is it...
This is awesome, I was considering a seat down the road but was hesitant due to errors and such. Lets say for example I decide to take a long raodtrip and decide to put the stock seat back in, Would I get an error? Id assume even so, this would be the fix.
Hard to really say how much life without a measurement. That being said mine are pretty similar in the rear. I think I can get one more TNiA event before needing to swap.
I don't know if these have been mentioned yet but I found someone's design to 3d print solid plastic blocks that attach to the u-shaped jack stands. They even swivel. I've used them plenty of times and so far have seen zero issues. They are really simple to print and I can probably get a set out...
No prob! Thanks for suggesting the nutsert idea. And yeah irixyoctane and I were discussing adding an angled flange on the paddles when it dawned on me I could probably get 10-20° of angle just by changing the plates! The current version is 20° depending on want I could include a few angles but...
Hey everyone! Got an exciting update for you all.
First off, apologies for taking so long. Visiting family and starting a new job (at Bosch btw, so give me a few weeks and I'll unlock everyone's ECU, jk ?) has taken up a majority of my time.
Anyway, couple things.
1. The connectors finally...
A while back someone made a thread talking about the possibility of a clear taillight lens. They rendered a few images and it looked gorgeous.
Well, I just came across a post from illumasthetic showing their new clear lenses for the a90! Looks awesome, although $500 and being only available to...
Also as a small update, I received a batch of m3 heat embedded nuts (basically nutserts that can be melted into prints) to embed into the paddle module mounting plate and they seem to work quite well! Once I get back from visiting family I'll try out a few different thicknesses to play around...
I think that's definitely a possibility, I am talking with another person on the mk5 forums about producing these so I can get back to you on that. I can definitely print a set with an angled bit however I'd want to test it prior to selling any kits. Right now I have the capabilities to print...
If you know what TE connector it is specifically that would be a big help. I've been searching through their catalog but can't seem to find it. I sent an email to kingkong connector about buying a batch but haven't heard back.
I can echo the traction control comments. On track I kept the traction in "track mode" (one press) and it gave me more than enough leeway to have fun while keeping me from being an idiot. I tried going completely off in autocross just to see and noticed my times went up. I'm not Jackie Ding so...
