If you are spinning at highway speeds with 500whp your setup is trash. I have over 600whp and if I go WOT at highway speeds I just go plaid.
I also chose to live in both worlds:
Pad wear is going to be very track, power, and driver dependent.
For example, I've done 7 track days on my current set of DTC-60's and probably could do one more event with them.
