You can also use MHD to log while you still have BM3. Just need to pay for the logging license, which you would need to do if you move to MHD anyway.

No particular reason other than I am always trying new things and also the simplicity of the Garmin Catalyst just works for me.

Insert piston back in, reseat dust seal in the groove.

Absolutely fine, put the ones you are concerned about on the rear, but there is still meat there.
If they are one day old, you have many more heat cycles in them as well. I usually get about 4.5 days on them before they heat cycle out.

Those look like my day 1 RE71RS's. :) I heat cycle out RE71RS way before any cords start showing.
Hawk DTC60's are also only $180 from Tire Rack. I've been using them and they work for the power I have. Could I use some more pad for bigger tracks with my power, could I use a pad that doesn't dust like the Sahara? Probably, but for $180, they work just fine.
