This unit has what's called a "simulator" built in. A tiny chunk of catalytic material designed to trick the O2 sensors.
It may work and avoid a CEL, or it may not. This statement is true of every car, and the Supra is not special here. Cat simulators have been around a long time and they're...
I strongly recommend you switch to Ecutek. Bootmod3 doesn't support Motiv Reflex integration into the ECU, so th port injectors will firing "blind" with no knowledge of what the direct injectors are doing. BM3 will also never support Motiv, as there's bad blood between the two companies. BM3 is...
An upgraded HPFP seems seductive and useful for this car. But it's not. Upgrading the HPFP would give more fuel, yes. But you'd quickly bump into the limits of the GDI injectors themselves and they can't be upgraded or replaced.
So you'd spend a lot of money for an HPFP (they are not...
We already have the "Gen 2" B58TU HPFP. All Supra model years use some form of the B58TU engine.
If you want more fuel, it has to be port injection. An HPFP will buy you a little more headroom, but you'll still be fundamentally limited by the capacity of the direct injectors.
Okay, to the end the saga:
I have a freak car: an xx.110.xx DME running xx.130.xx software, thanks to the bullshit from ProTuningFreaks. Marin tells me there are less than 150 of these cars running around. I'm now on Ecutek and not looking back.
Moral of the story: if you have a Supra that can...
And, to top it off, their multi-map files have permanently taken away my ability to lock and unlock the ECU over OBD.
As of now, I cannot transfer or sell my bm3 license anymore without paying for a bench unlock.
Will try to keep this brief and bulletpointed to see if anyone can shed some light on what's going on. I am attempting to switch to Ecutek from BM3, and am trying to flash back to stock + relock the DME so I can sell my license and do the switch. When attempting to return the stock, the BM3 app...
I do not care what people do with their car, or when they choose to do it. I've shared the news, and shared my POV as a customer on another platform. What happens beyond that = ?♂️
It goes to the same places as any other PCV catch can, but it just supplies its own fittings instead of re-using OEM hoses. ?♂️
One hose goes to the block down low on the passenger side, one hose goes to the intake. There's nothing special about this solution.
