Toyota is using DB43 for Canada/US models, DB41 for other LHD markets (including Mexico), DB42 for other RHD markets (including Japan).
I posted the various chassis codes and their respective markets on the Wikipedia page a while back.
In BMW terms, it is a J29 chassis and then there are...
The pieces to make a manual transmission Supra already exist for the most part. While it would be nice if Toyota would do it for us, at least the parts exist from the M2/Z4, etc. All that's really needed is a new console for the shifter and a tune.
If only I wasn't a poor student these days...
All launch editions comes with red painted mirror caps from the factory.
Once they arrive in the USA, depending on how the car was ordered they may be replaced with the accessory carbon fibre mirror caps at port or at the dealer. If they are installed at port, you will not be getting the red...
Generally speaking they're for small adjustments in the factory range, not for actually changing the camber. I haven't seen the M2 knuckle information, but I assume they're probably similar.
For the Supra:
LH Side
Standard - 43212-WAA01 (BMW 3121 6 878 613)
-30' (-0.50°) - 43212-WAA02 (BMW...
The car is a bit confusing. I support cool cars, and so I'm relatively on board with it anyway. His points are completely valid, but are quite subjective and will therefore cause some disagreement for sure. I happen to agree with him on a lot of his points, but am happy to look past it because I...
Generally speaking, as part of a PDI the dealer will drive the car for around 10 mi (16 km), which typically takes around 20-30 minutes. I would be upset if the car wasn't properly PDI'd, but that said, with a car like this it's always nice to not have the tech beat the piss out of your car...
"The rear differential carrier assembly used with the electronically controlled limited slip differential connects to the left and right drive shafts via multiplate wet clutches. The clutch is intermittently and steplessly controlled by the electronic control motor in response to driving...
Quick notes:
Full engine model is B58B30M.
Power is listed as 335@5000 to 6500, which is interesting. Flat torque curves are common these days, but a flat power curve almost always means it is being limited by the ECU and/or being under stated.
Doesn't require premium fuel (87 octane AKI or...
Repair manual, New Car Features, Collision Repair, etc., has been added to TIS as of today (the repair manual was actually posted earlier with the B46, etc., but then removed, it's back with only the B58 listed).
If you want to take a look you'll need to have or buy an account...
Yeah I figured I'd be ordering in Japan and having it shipped over. I'm currently in the build stages of a JZA70 TT-R for someone and some of it restoration work. Very interested to see what's going to be available.
Jeff
Do you have any idea when or how we will find out what parts will be offered through the program and how they can be ordered/purchased? I have a lot of A70 stuff I'd like to get.
Jeff
The B46 is listed for the Supra in the North American catalog, but it is likely because there are other markets that get "US-spec" cars that are in fact not US-market, and in those markets, the B46 is offered (frequently Korean cars are in the US catalog for instance). The B46 in the US catalog...
