  1. Toyota Supra Break In Period

All brand new cars go through a preliminary run on the roller but as Mototune mentions, it's the first 20 miles that really matter. The manual is primarily for legality purposes.
  2. Toyota Supra Break In Period

Did you read the link I posted. You actually already missed it 40 miles ago. What's The Best Way To Break-In A New Engine ?? The Short Answer: Run it Hard ! Why ?? Nowadays, the piston ring seal is really what the break in process is all about. Contrary to popular belief, piston rings...
  3. Toyota Supra Break In Period

Yeah. I wonder where the tach needle is going to go once they get rid of all of that crap, start making some power and rev higher.
  4. Toyota Supra Break In Period

Can't really expect Toyota to know the specs on an engine that they didn't build.

  7. Press Release: It’s a Supra Kind of Day

I would assume that since the Toyota VPC is at the Port of Long Beach, the SoCal Toyota dealerships would have first arrivals. What sucks even more are the SoCal Toyota dealerships websites are not even up to date. Carson Toyota and Longo don't even have the Supra on their website.
  8. Supra vs C8 Corvette

Somebody needs to sit both BMW and Toyota down and tell them to chill the fuck out on those damn grilles. :fear:
  9. Aftermarket Supra -Exhaust

+1 That Miltek exhaust doesn't sound that good. What's up with the crackling and popping? It reminds me of burning wood that's crackling and popping in the fireplace or when you accidentally drop frozen food into a pan of hot oil.
  10. Supra vs C8 Corvette

Unless you have to have it now, I'd say wait until both are available for you to test drive. Let the supply catch up and the demand taper off so you'll have more buying power when it comes for you to decide which one you really want.
  11. Supra vs C8 Corvette

Very true and since you've mentioned Porsche, that's exactly what comes to mind. IMO, it's a great thing to have individual items that you can add or delete and gives the buyer much more flexibility when building their car. I would have loved to have the Aero Kit, X-51 kit, Sport Chrono...
  12. Supra vs C8 Corvette

On that note, the amount of available customization compared to the Supra is amazing.
  13. Press Release: It’s a Supra Kind of Day

    Congratulations!
  14. A80 Toyota Supra

Have you ridden in a heavily modded car or a modded MKIV? It’s a memorizing feeling to hear the aftermarket turbo spool up and the brute power of being pushed into your seat from a built Supra or any car. Back in the day with having a 80 shot direct port then to a fully built bottom end T3/T4...
  15. Supra vs C8 Corvette

Between the 2, definitely Corvette. TBH, I was never a Chevy or even a Corvette fan until now after seeing the C8. This is coming from someone who used to enjoy watching imports and Porsches beat up on Corvettes. Chevy did everything right this time and that’s why I have to give them a...
  16. Official C8 mid-engine Chevy Corvette thread

Just in case you’re wondering if golf clubs would fit.
  17. Supra vs C8 Corvette

Excellent job GM! You definitely did it the right way. Damn you Toyota.
  18. A80 Toyota Supra

I hear ya. I fought the urge to keep mine stock and even Factory wingless (since the early MKIV, the spoiler was an option) but eventually I caved in and made it BPU so it’s nothing crazy.
