I would assume that since the Toyota VPC is at the Port of Long Beach, the SoCal Toyota dealerships would have first arrivals. What sucks even more are the SoCal Toyota dealerships websites are not even up to date. Carson Toyota and Longo don't even have the Supra on their website. :doh:

Unless you have to have it now, I'd say wait until both are available for you to test drive. Let the supply catch up and the demand taper off so you'll have more buying power when it comes for you to decide which one you really want.

Very true and since you've mentioned Porsche, that's exactly what comes to mind. IMO, it's a great thing to have individual items that you can add or delete and gives the buyer much more flexibility when building their car. I would have loved to have the Aero Kit, X-51 kit, Sport Chrono...

On that note, the amount of available customization compared to the Supra is amazing.

Have you ridden in a heavily modded car or a modded MKIV? It’s a memorizing feeling to hear the aftermarket turbo spool up and the brute power of being pushed into your seat from a built Supra or any car. Back in the day with having a 80 shot direct port then to a fully built bottom end T3/T4...

I hear ya. I fought the urge to keep mine stock and even Factory wingless (since the early MKIV, the spoiler was an option) but eventually I caved in and made it BPU so it’s nothing crazy.
