Mine isn’t cracked (just picked it up 2 days ago), but interestingly my sales rep volunteered that the emblem might crack! That means Toyota is definitely aware there’s an issue.
He went on to say that at least the radar isn’t in the emblem like it is in other Toyotas. He said replacement...
Sounds obvious but make sure the hood is closed.
When I picked mine up, the passenger side of the hood wasn’t down all the way. The initial pic of the car the sales guy sent me didn’t show the gap that was there at pickup. We opened the hood and closed it forcefully and the gap closed up.
It’s not terrible- everything said so far seems true - speed at which it begins, closing one window most of the way to mitigate, etc...
One thing for those who haven’t experienced it, it’s a very rapid almost vibrating buffeting. Not the usual buffeting you might be accustomed to.
I did scroll through and found roughly the same cost. Yes there is a link to a woman who can sell Toyotacare or something “cheaper” but who knows. The guy was showing me the screen with his costs for these various plans and I could see which combinations of years and miles were selectable...

7yr 75K miles for $1800
6yr “platinum” wheel+tire+key for $950
Both $0 deductible.
I placed my deposit Aug 30 and picked up the car yesterday. The vin was in the system earlier than that. Also east coast. Car landed in Newark a week before I got it.
Got it!
Busy day. Picked up the Supra and dropped off the S4 to end the lease.
Feels a lot more solid. Definitely tighter cabin but not in a bad way. Smells like a new BMW. Really nice dampening over bumps. Shifts are snappy and in sport mode it holds onto gears a lot more than the sport mode...
My White Premium hit the dealership today. They are telling me Friday for pick up. I think this is at least their third Supra delivery so I guess they know what expectations to set.
No front plate, no dealer stickers or badges!
People do crazy stuff. A friend of mine was telling me about a trick people use with high end cars, leaving them at the dealerships to sell them for premiums. He inquired about a GT2RS that was going for crazy money - the dealer explained that it had been purchased by a guy in Korea. He and his...
