I’m assuming the VIN is whatever is on the registration. Maybe the vehicle was stolen and wears a VIN that’s “clean” but from a Jag? Don’t know if there are checks against such things. Also possible DMV made a mistake transcribing the VIN. Either way, great job California!
Another “angle” to...
Android Auto is missing, just jump ship to Apple.
I was the staunchest supporter of Android for years, refusing to use anything but a Nexus/Pixel but I switched in 2017. Never been happier with my phones.
Anyhow, the main tech I would like to see but know we won’t is the Apple Car Key.
I have no idea and I don’t want to run afoul of Toyota’s legal department.
It wasn’t really a “lemon” in the classic sense anyway but once days turned to weeks and into months I had enough. It had the bad printed circuit board that blew out the driver’s side headlight cluster (the recall came...

During my brief flirtation with Supra ownership, I got in the habit of doing this and never had an issue with the battery. Mine was delivered...
Interestingly, the YouTube channel “Your Auto Advocate” recommends asking the dealer for a reading of the battery level whenever you take delivery of a new car. They explain that the cost of replacement falls on the dealer since if it’s low/ruined the manufacturer recognizes this is due to...
Your mention of state inspection made me realize that CELs are kryptonite for emissions testing- at least in my state.
Pretty sure an O2 sensor code would qualify as an issue in Virginia...
Yeah, I always stipulated no wash with the old BMW, but not my last car which was a leased S4. Audi actually didn’t mess it up, although I never left a service without new scuffs on the steering wheel.
There is a thread here on warranty. A dealer in Michigan will sell it to you for cost. If you’ve already paid a higher price you can cancel it. I did this on my Supra a year ago.
You’re stuck with the tire/wheel insurance since for whatever reason it can only be purchased at the time of vehicle...
