So funny story about expensive parts.
My friend has a 2005 Lotus Elise he bought new for around $40,000 when they became available in the US. After a couple of years, a truck backed into him trying to get out of a toll booth lane that only took automatic payments. The car was so low that he was...
I saw the YouTube video of that black GT3 RS - same video the guy saw the Ferrari of Beverly Hills caravan of cars being exfiltrated. Video runs from morning until late into the evening when the GT3 footage appears.
I have to say I’m currently without a car completely (my lemon buyback was...
Do you have the warning off or the steering intervention off? It sounds like you’re changing the warning settings.
When I owned my Supra, I had turned off the steering intervention, leaving the warning on... that achieved the desired result.
Look on page 219 of the Supra manual.
I wonder if this is at all tied to the e-diff “issues” some believe the 2020 models may have. Possibly those saying that have made a misdiagnosis and it’s bump steer. This guy doesn’t strike me as someone who doesn’t know or understand what the root cause is here.
I’m curious if this is why...
That’s an interesting thought about leasing. I presume one reason is to try to avoid the increased depreciation?
Depends really on how much additional depreciation happens and how long the effect lasts. I recall that certain US automakers had temporarily suspended leasing after the 08-09 crash...
Except NEW car prices overall are being impacted far less by COVID-19 than the current 2020 Supra discounts. The Supra is a bit of a perfect storm and was already pretty heavily discounted by mid-March.
As tempting as the price cuts are, I think I’m doing the 2021. You only pay for the car once, but you drive it for many years.
Besides, you can make a very strong case that a lot of the savings for these outgoing 2020s will be negated by the corresponding depreciation and any potential...
Right. Cars like the Lotus Elise are light (barely over 2000 lbs)
This “big difference” in weight and dynamics has been spoon fed to these novice automotive “journalists” by overzealous marketing wonks. Don’t believe the hype.
