CNET has an article dated May 13 mentions the 400 vehicles that made It to the USA and states that 6 cylinder 2021 cars go on sale end of June. 2.0 cars in mid August.
I agree that the dealers will be smarting too much from the 2020 to try anything with the 2021.
Fortunately for all of us, the Apple+Google “Exposure Notification” (they renamed it from Contact Tracing) system is going live soon.
If you’re like me and have the technical knowledge to understand...
400. Might as well be 4,000,000.
You can get one, trust me. I plugged in a zip code for San Jose on the Toyota website and there are 90 2020s in your vicinity sitting on lots unsold. This car isn’t selling and I doubt there are tons of buyers waiting to pounce on a 2021. With that said, I’m...
There seem to be test cars like the one above and test cars that have the pops and bangs. Watch the Redline Review of the 2021 and he actually says the 2021 is louder and you can hear it cracking and popping.
Car and Driver’s written review says the pops and cracks are gone. Definitely odd.
Interestingly, some of the test cars have cracks and pops in the exhaust and some don’t. Car and Driver noted that they were gone but they’re clearly there in spades in the Redline Review as well as others...
Never bothered me.
One day I was driving away from a stoplight on a four lane divided highway, and someone all the way across the divide (quite far) bellowed -BMW!!!- as we got moving in opposite directions. I actually chuckled.
Mine came with everything Including PPF on the front.
Since I’m working on buying a replacement (would have happened by now but for COVID), I’m realizing that the mirror caps and PPF are useless options I may avoid. The OEM red caps can be ordered for a fifth of the cost of the CF caps, and...
I think they’re all sufficiently bruised (and still bleeding quite a bit) from the Supra right now...
I doubt even stupidity and greed would cause them to treat these cars like anything but a hot potato, especially in the new economic climate.
Koons gave me MSRP back in August when I plunked down $5K deposit. Delivery was mid Sept.
They’re heavily discounting their Supras right now. I’m in negotiations currently to replace mine as it was repurchased in March (lemon).
Seeing as how the automotive press has a moratorium on price details on the 2021 until June, it’s possible to conclude that Toyota won’t be releasing pricing until then (June).
It would be highly irregular to have official preorders without pricing so it’s safe to say this won’t begin until...
This is a quote from my local dealer. They called me a few weeks ago stating $49K, presumably not including the $799 dealer fee.
This was initiated from the buying service my credit union uses so the dealer knows they likely aren’t getting any revenue associated with financing. Also, they...
We’ll known on May 13th how the new one drives - that’s when the journalist embargo ends.
There’s an embargo on pricing info until June apparently.
