I looked into the jb4 a while back. I contacted Jesse and he straight up said it wasn’t worth the money if I’m limited to 91 octane. So I kind of backed off of that.
Thats what I'm worried about. I dont want to push things and make the car unreliable or a ticking time bomb. 91 just sucks apparently. So easy to make power on 93 and E.
Relatively easy to get there is it pushing anything? Upgraded turbo is about as far as I would want to go (financially lol).
Just a tune and DP just doesn't seem worth the money for the power bump IMO. 91 really just seems to hold the car back. I wish I could drive my start car and then jump...
Based on what I've been told, 91 only would net about 30-40 hp on a tune with a DP. I'm also at 4500' elevation which probably doesn't help. I looked into meth but that just more that I want to put into the car plus more risk.
If your at 500whp with the same mods I'm looking into on 93, then...
So I have a locked 2021 that I have been considering doing the femto unlock and tuning with either BM3 MHD. But the kicker is I only have access to 91 fuel, no 93 or ethanol at the pump. My preference was to just go DP and tune so I could easily go back to stock in the future and keep things...
You might check if the spring seat was removed like mine wasn’t. I also had a chassis code and it was the rear ride height bracket installed backwards.
What exactly was the process and what did it ultimately cost usd? Also they gave me the list of the options for what kind of unlock to do. Did you do the regular unlock or the custom unlock?

Who has gone through Femto directly to get their car unlocked? I want to know your experience. Seems to end up being cheaper that having someone do it for you. Thanks
Any way to easily check if there is play in it without taking it apart? Now that you mentioned it, the main thing I’m worried about is if the coil adapter (hks silver sleeve) was forced over the coil spring seat lip (where the yellow arrow is in my photo) since the spring seat is a larger...
Well I did drive a little aggressive maybe once but nothing crazy. I guess we’ll see. Debating just pulling it apart myself instead of having them touch it again. To many people on here on Facebook group saying they wouldn’t let them touch it again, making me nervous lol.
Got about 60 miles on it. No pot holes, roads aren’t great and a little bouncy for sure. If I take it back to them, that’ll be another 20 miles or so.
You agree with the other guy in that this may have caused some damage to something? Not sure if the hks sleeve maybe is damage because my forced over the spring seat?
Pretty limited where I’m at. Lots of tuner shops like these. Called a lot places and no one had really worked on these locally. Some shops wanted like $1200+ To install them.
I’ll give them an opportunity to make it right, I know shit happens as I run a marine service department myself. They have a pretty good following and good reviews but they work on mostly subarus and evos. But can’t be that much different.
Yeah I’m sure it was an honest mistake but frustrating still. The paper instructions that come with the springs does say to remove it and doesn’t ever say to reinstall. But it also doesn’t say that it won’t be reused like it does for some other parts, kinda weird. But in some videos it’s pretty...
