  1. MY24 Oil consumption

The filter bypass valve does what the name suggests, it bypasses the filter media when the differential pressure across the media reaches a pre determined diff pressure. Even if it is jammed wide open or you left it out completely it wouldn't affect oil consumption. It would affect other things...
  2. Handling doesn’t feel quite as predictable after installing a rear diff brace (more oversteer)

In my view yes. As soon as you have skin in the game it's extremely hard to eliminate bias, it happens unconsciously. The only true test is either a blind test or a means of measurement. When the engineering/physics doesn't support what you feel you are unconsciously biasing the result. Totally...
  3. Handling doesn’t feel quite as predictable after installing a rear diff brace (more oversteer)

Nope. You won't get more torque delivered to the wheels due to a diff brace. Same as you won't get more torque delivered to the driveline with solid engine mounts. Phil

  6. Car needs recalibration for alignment??

  8. Speed Industry wheel spacers

Umm, no. Although in the case of wheel spacers 6061 will do for a road car and 7075 being best for the track or road. As general info though commercial aluminium comes in a great range of types for various application so take interest in what grade it's made of for anything important. Phil

  11. Hmmm. I didn’t remember that when you park a manual

My 2023 manual the ebrake just works as expected. I have a sloping driveway so I always check after reports here. I stop the car in gear clutch disengaged pull the ebrake then turn the car off and release the clutch, car still in first gear. I do the same with the car in neutral pre shutdown or...
  12. What did you do to your Supra today?

Anymore images of your car with those wheels. Like the wheels and the wheel colour. Phil
  13. Updated oil pump?

There is an overriding condition with regards to warranty here in Australia and that is "fit for purpose" Even if a component fails outside the warranty period the manufacturer can't just fob you off if it fails far earlier than what is considered a reasonable life. So the Supra oil pump falls...

As I said 2 posts ago the tail shaft centre bearing. Phil
  15. Key Fob Lock Button Sometimes Works

Well not so fast. Did the issue arise after you changed the battery ? if not then change the battery again and keep fingers off the battery terminals and use a cotton but and iso alcohol to clean the key contacts. It's not that unusual for new batteries to be undervoltage or low on capacity...

  19. V8 MKV Supra will compete in Australian Supercars series

A more accurate title to this thread would be a V8 "styled" Supra to compete in the Aus Supercar series. I mean it's hardly a Supra. Phil
