Time will tell. The US market is a little harder to judge IMO, but I've always thought the US is likely to get a higher performance trim (a TRD car so to speak). The question is not really if but when as Performance noted.
The real question is if there are a few higher performance GR cars, will...
I definitely don't have all the details, more just high level summaries on what's being developed. It's tough to definitively answer your questions due to that and being discouraged from expanding on details before GR does.
The special cars were always planned though; the specific timing of...
I have to agree that 45-55k is what makes far more sense... if the car is much over that by even a little, it becomes a huge issue due to competition, but that's assuming conservative performance figures.
The rumors of the 60k+ price tag also came from sources I do not consider to be as...
I wasn't implying you did :)
no comment lol
jokes aside, the US has essentially not received any of the existing GR stuff as of yet, aside from heavily watered down TRD stuff. so, it's really just hedging my bet more on Japan, but I'd also rather drive this car around there and enjoy it.
At least for what I was referring to, I am under the impression it will come later. Again, it may be different than what Performance is speaking to however.
it's a true sports car by design.
GT cars have a specific ethos: a balance of performance and luxury designed to drive long distances (or "touring"). The A90 is not specifically designed for this (not that it can't fulfill that role per se), but it's been engineered as a performance sports car...
the rears have no path for airflow, at least based on spyshots and the part schematics.
the fronts have always had a potential path for airflow; the questions there are just where it's being directed, out the fender vents or brakes? maybe both?
I talk to Guff here and there. His main contact was pretty high up in Toyota USA and ended up moving over to Lexus, and he's also been super busy apparently.
I remember there being discussions on one of the lower spec cars being a Celica and it would have a slightly different exterior, but I didn't think anything ever came of that.
If true, that's not something Im aware of, but I'd be super down for it.
I think it's important to note that Performance may know more than I do if he found someone close to the project, that's reputable, and has given him specific info.
There is a lot I don't know, and another factor is what he's referencing might not be what I'm referencing as there are a few...
I know vague details about various things (relative to the past at least), but I'm not supposed to talk about it.
I wasn't warned directly, but there was a recommendation to not give out any other information.
