Being a huge BMW fan to begin with, it never really bothered me.
When people say it’s a BMW, I tend to actually agree with them lmao. Even if people yell “is that a Supra?!” I usually give them a thumbs up and yell back “it’s a BMW.” Lmao.
Typical startup routine for me (in my garage) is as follows:
1) Start car.
2) Setup my car play, disable auto off feature, and fasten seatbelt.
3) Wait for engine temp gauge to reach at least 2nd bar.
4) Drive in normal mode for a few miles.
5) Pop it into sport mode once engine oil reaches...
I’ve consistently been complimented driving the car at least once whenever I take it out.
Last time was in a McDonald’s drive through. Guy handed me my food and had a quick conversation about the car. Gotta love it.
This is awesome news and will definitely help push this platform even further. Great job fellas.
Question though, would an upgrade such as this make it possible to reach higher levels of HP without needing meth or port injection? Or is this primarily a supporting mod to those things?
If you’re talking about emissions, I would suggest you get a Downpipe with a high flow GESI cat. Active Autowerks and AMS both make these types of down pipes which are legal in 49 states.
I highly suggest getting a tune along with your Downpipe to get maximum benefit out of the part. Something...
Installed the active auto downpipe and so far no check engine light. They’ve got a no CEL guarantee ;)
The re-pinning wasn’t difficult at all, but definitely take your time with it. I mixed up some wires and it took me a while to get everything straightened out. Not too difficult though, just...
No other mods, I actually let the car sit for a minute and the code went away.
More than likely the check engine light triggered since I disconnected the car battery prior to the flex fuel install. All is well now
Hey what’s up guys! Just installed my flex fuel kit and everything fired up alright and no gas leaks noted.
One question of note is that my check engine light came on. I’m sure this will be resolved after tuning, but is this relatively normal after install?
I’d assume accessing the canbus and...
These look amazing
Anyone else want to share more TE37 wheel porn? Specifically on a red Supra? Hehehe.
Been interested in pressed graphite. Not my car but would love to see how these wheels fit on a red vehicle.
2.0 If you want to have food in the fridge.
3.0 If you want to eat cup of noodles everyday.
I kid of course lol. If I’m being honest, there’s nothing like the inline 6. If you’re going to get a Supra, go with the big boy engine. The 2.0, from videos and reviews, seems like a pretty good...
Lmao, same. Hoping I can get the old pipe out without taking off the under tray. Looks easy but a PIA to take out all the bolts, especially without power tools
2021 model, to my knowledge, has newer exhaust manifold and has about 50hp over the 2020 model. 2021 also has suspension adjustments and additional strut bracing under the hood.
That being said, I bought a new 2020 a couple of months ago because I got a decent deal on it and it was...
Sorry to hear about all the other issues going on with your car, keep us posted. Sounds similar to @KillxPoint and his issues.
In regards to your MPG, I’d say that isn’t too far off from my average. I putt around town in sports and pop it in normal on the highway, average about 21.8mpg. When I...
Agreed.
All these people getting triggered by an auto journalist’s opinion.
“The earth is flat.”
“The chicken came before the egg.”
“Dipping French fries in milkshakes is normal.
Say something provocative and you’ll get a response:dunno:
Mag blue looks great
If you’re going for a matte black color, don’t ruleout plastidipping them. Take your time with it and they can turn out real nice.
