I like these renderings better because they have a nice—er transition by the rear fenders into the C-pillars. I guess those are the FT-1 characteristics you are referring to that we should not expect on the production car. Not to mention the rear spoiler/trunk appears in these pics.
I could see the car weighing in at 3300lbs. Put performance aside, the safety requirements alone would limit Toyota's abilities to make this car a 3000lb car without hiking up the price close to $100k from using exotic materials (CF, etc..). A 3000lb Supra is very doable....just not for $60k...
