The M2 is ugly, sorry. Short, tall, and fat. Despite what the exact dimensions of the MKV may be, if it looks like the renders, then it'll be pretty handsome. Not to mention, everyone I know who's seen an MKV in person says it looks even better than the renders.

As far as I know, BMW claims to have never been interested in testing against Porsches, but considering their car goes head to head against the Boxster S, I find it hard to believe that they weren't interested in seeing those results. I'm not sure why BMW think its taboo for them to compare...

Current consensus is that the rear end is an independent multi-link, so we'll have to wait and see until we can get underneath the car and look at the geometry. I'm sure it'll be good though.
