Cool, just making sure!
Since this seems to be more of an issue with Apex wheels, I'm wondering if they aren't machined perfectly flat or something.
Hopefully the friction discs help you.
Keep in mind logging IAT after the manifold has very little to do with the intake design, and more to do with the manifold's ability to shed heat. A more scientific and accurate approach would be to log pre-turbo IAT's at the filter. This is hard as most current logging tools cannot log that...
Agree with you, the ignition timing in that log is absolutely ass. The EGT's must be insane.
Also, 28 psi with 14.4 AFR is crazy town. Cylinder temp with that timing and AFR has to be bonkers.
Yes you take it out of the harness... or.. buy one off ebay. All the modern BMW's use the same. I use one off a X3.
Then you plug it back into the yellow harness and use an extension to route it through the seat hole to make it proper safe.
With a hub and wheel centric spacer, torqued properly, it's just the same as running a wheel with a lower offset.
You'll notice that the BMW GT4 race cars run pretty large spacers, 15-20mm. However, people overly abuse these kind of references as race cars have MUCH different maintenance and...
Save a TON of money and just upgrade the brake pads.
Simple explanation to coilovers is that it significantly helps with body control as the springs and dampers are matched better. You can also get away with stiffer springs as the dampening is better than just throwing springs on the oem...
The whole strut assembly with hub knuckle pivots with negative camber so adding a spacer won't give you more clearance as it angles. The clearance from tire to strut will stay the same with camber adjustment.
Which coilovers are you using? If the springs are normal coilover size, that combo will work with no issues.
I have run 295/30/18 on 18x10.5 +35 and 295/35/18 on 18x11 +40 with zero issues with inside contact.
In the USA, the Gen2/TU was 2 port for only 2020 in the Supra. 21+ are 6 port. In the EU, they are all 2 ports still. No port injection on either.
Carbon buildup isn't really an issue with the B58's.
If your wheels don't look like this after bedding in the pads you aren't doing it right.
This is after bedding in brand new DTC60's and the wheels were clean before.
