I was going to make a similar thread. But I wanted to ask people to come up with nicknames for this car like with the Toyobaru. I was thinking of dubbing it the "Zupra".
If were going by wheel arch; then @Supra93 has already shown that it will be close to the MK4. Anywho, hopefully we'll have official numbers at least from BMW's side in two days at Pebble Beach.
Also @mas921 found a wheelbase of 98.7 in. So we're all on the same page for the most part...
Some here have pointed out the lines on the prototype that appears to show a wing, but these lines could just be created by the camo panels. However I wouldn't rule anything out at this point.
Yup, and the RC-F and the 3/6 series Granturismo of all things lol.
Good job guy!
Everyone on this thread came to the same conclusion as well.

Yeah these overlap comparisons aren't 100% accurate. But the press release did say it will be a midsize sports car. I actually think the MK5's wheelbase will be shorter than the 86's 101.2 inch simply because its based on the Z platform. The E85 @98.2 inches and the E89 @98.3 inches.
Does OP want a shorten reskin LC instead? If so, keep dreaming about that curb weight.
While I am disappointed that the new "Supra" will not be done in house by Toyota. We also have to understand that Akio still has a Toyota board to answer to. He himself has stated just because a CEO wants XZY...
Did some digging, the 'leaked' info sounds really similar to the this fake brochure that surfaced earlier this year.
