I thought we already squashed the idea of a hybrid. On a different note I was really surprised by the result of that poll.

No arguments there, even a Toyota employee over at Supraforums have hinted at the B58. What I'm saying is it would be a disappointment if that were the top ranging model.
Welcome to the forums :)
Good points, BMW is reportedly working on a replacement called the S58. So in theory it does make sense for BMW to fit the Supra with the M3's S55 or M2's N55.

Sadly when looking at their 2015 vs 2016 sales we see sales of their cars down and CUVs up.
I feel the same, also good to hear opinions and not just votes.
It would be great if it was really Akio behind the wheel, and after his test drive his response would be 'that sh*t is weak, needs more power. Back to the drawing board Broke Motor Wagon'.
I think it looked better with more camo, but I expect it will have typical BMW styling . In these new spy pics it appears to be larger than the outgoing model.
^^^Wow, just wow. So BMW is willing to make a X3 M of all thing, but no Z4 M. You got to be freaking kidding me. If true, shake my head Broke Motor Wagon. :nono:
The first car I would say is an early stage prototype. Its been driving around for quite awhile now. Bimmerpost's insider posted this back in May of last year; though some of his earlier comments about the joint project has changed over time. The later test car definitely seem more production...
This was posted on Supraforums. The power listed seem extremely low (completely BS IMO). Especially when compared to the current Z4. However, a 4 cyl and two I6s are believable and is what BMW currently offers on the E89. Overall sounds like fake news/click bait, but I figured I'll share it...
The latest prototype doesn't look or sound that bad.

If you zoom in on these high detailed photos you can see both gaps and camo panels that are bolted on.
