Although admittedly, the forum insiders have admitted to hearing very little about a GR version, and that it would most likely not arrive until a few years into the model cycle anyway.
My point was not comparable to the GT-R in power, exclusivity or price, but ability/lap times. Given insiders hinted at Spa time and a current ring time of 7:40 (for the base-spec MULE) (330hp if you believe the power rumours) then a lighter, more powerful GR version could be closer to GT-R in...
TBH I have zero idea on the arizona climate ;)
Just had a look (purely out of interest)
Phoenix AZ actually quite similar to me... but a little hotter! I get colder winters... often the maximum day temp in winter is 50F. But I'm in the arse-end of Australia haha.
In Au the 370Z is almost as expensive as a BMW M2, for not even close to the performance wise. I was hugely disappointed in the zed, and felt the 86 was a superior car despite less power.
Correct me if wrong, but I assumed from insider hints that a GR Supra would be nudging towards GT-R...
I prefer it without the wing.... :O
Also, some angles make the car look truly bulbous, but even in GT sport, it seems very lot and flat. especially from the side profile.
The dodgy photoshop I did from GT sport is an unmodified side profile (I just removed the GT3 bits and raised ride height)...
it make sense that the base engines would be true (all but confirmed B58 from A70)
but if anyone believes the power output will be the same as a two year old 440i is gullible. it's simply what the B58 was producing at the time - and we know Toyota have added their herbs and spices to the engine.
