That's crazy, I would have assumed all locked down already too. I imagine lights and glass openings all locked though, as they'd be an external manufacturer?
Anyway, awesome news. More things to investigate.
Please pass on to put decent wheels on it. The latest mules with the Toyota centre...
I don't think any of the manufacturers were gentlemen lol - Mazda, Nissan, Mitsubishi... They were all +276hp lol
Which is good for us. The GT-R were always closer to 300 as well.
Even the JDM A80 models had more than 276hp, that was just marketing. They were closer to 330hp.
My almost stock (with a 3" exhaust and FMIC) '99 RZ cranked out 314whp on a dyno, so there you go.
Either way, with a diet and track focus, will be awesome.
I think the camo (mules) and livery (GT car) hide the bonnet lines a lot. I think it will look quite different one the road car - especially given how it looks once you strip the livery from the GT car...
Interestingly, the 997 GT3 does anywhere from a 7:33 - 7:43 lap of the ring, and forum insiders have previously said the "330hp B58" mule has done a 7:40 around the ring... so perhaps the older gen GT3 as a benchmark isn't far off the mark.
Imagine the GRMN model capabilities :P
Thanks A70! I hope it's a weapon. Designing your own engine and contracting it to BMW, yet having it not based on any current engine seems counter-intuitive to bringing costs down.... unless BMW plan to use the Toyota-designed engine for some of their units?
So many theories... I wish they'd...
given that the B58 won't be used... that kinda means we have zero idea on power output right? all the theories have been based on current/future BMW outputs, correct?
Interesting. They've got heaps of km on a mule that doesn't have the production engine?
That means they're either going to do more testing with new engine later, or it is squirreled away in Japan where we haven't seen it...
I would assume they'd want a serious amount of km on a new engine -...
I still think ew, but again, that is me. I have a thing for NA I6s and they belong with a dirty old manual. I guess because they're both a thing of the past... :P
How many times does A70 have to say the mule weighs in at 2900 pounds??? 1318kg for anyone that uses the correct units :P
A non turbo would weigh less than the turbo - and the mules are turbina.
That said.... An N/A six (which i still think is unlikely in this emissions times) with an auto...
