Only a handful of A60s in the UK...
I actually was commissioned to build a 2JZ A60 restomod for a guy locally who ended up shipping it home to Ireland. Kinda hoping to see it at the owners event! :P
i guess that's one of the things hinted at from the top-down motorsport idea.... a sequential transmission needs a clutch to get it off the line.
anyone have any idea what the bolt pattern on the engine is? I'd like to get the upper hand on a drop-in sequential option :P
square set-up is horribly underrated. I have a theory - based on some of my time in auto industry - that a lot of high power RWD cars have a larger rear tyre than front to push the balance towards understeer - which for your average pleb, is safer than oversteer.
I've got 275 front and rear on...
haha fair enough - mine is a hardtop, and a fairly newer/low milage one (1999) so is still nice and stiff. Only driven an aerotop around the block once, and noticed how floppy it was...
People in this thread seem to forget that there was more than one generation, and model, of Supra.
There is a comment somewhere that A70 left regarding the design process foe the A90 - something along the lines of no interest in making this car a straight line focus, like the A80 was in the USA... Even some contempt for the drag racing only mentality?
Similarly, the A80 is more than...
I like the focus too, (i'd have mein in white please) but it was fun to rile up old mate.
awwww, but i was about to post the in-car video of me passing him, and staying in front :P
lol focus RS
I'm doing the same lap times in my 2JZGE A70 track car, it cost me $6k AUD to build. Comparable skilled drivers (I'm average, they were average)
If you were going to buy a car that blows headgaskets, you could at least get a 7M :P
My black A60 was originally SDR like yours. If I had my time again.... It'd probably be still red...
The big change going from 4-5 A60 to an A80 owner is parts availability.... with an A60, anything you want basically doesn't exist anymore, needs to be custom, and that's expensive.
Proud to be...
It's a bit different in Australia... there used to be a time where A80 owners would frown upon the older generations... but these days, A80 owners
a) are 18 year olds who like stance, vaping and hardparking and don't even realise there is 3 other generators
b) are genuine enthusiasts and...
