I removed the resonator from the stock air box. I didn't want to leave it open, though, so I capped it with the lid off of a can of spray paint.
I hear no difference.
I also can't seem to find any type of intake system that works better than OEM.
Unfortunately, a lot of the stuff that makes our...
You still need a spacer with coilovers and a 275 tire? I'm on stock suspension and only need 5-10mm on the front. One of the reasons I was looking forward to coilovers is getting rid of the spacers.
True, but the conversation above a specific towards a 275 tire and how much of a spacer you may want to run to make it fit. All I said was that I'd run the smallest spacer possible.
I'd run no spacer, but that offset wouldn't be happy in the back.
If they want to run 275 square, be able to...
I'd research your specific tire, most have specific pressures they like. I don't know that I've ever seen a tire that liked to run that high, but I've also never tracked on street tires. Hopefully someone can chime in.
Quite a bit to unpack here.
1. If your friend is on stock tires, there is a chance he's done six events on stock brake pads. It also means he may not be going quite that fast. I only did a few laps on my stock pads, and can't imagine them going through 8hrs of track time without complaining.
2...
I use those for my cars with pinch welds on the bottom. For the Supra, I usually put it on the lift with the "BMW pucks" that I have mounted to the OEM plastic inserts under the car.
Before that, I had the pucks loose and would just toss on top of a jack, the lift, etc.
I could see how it...
I didn't have any problems swapping my rear pads with normal and tools out of my toolbox.
As mentioned above, the front pads are glued to the pistons so you will need something to knock them loose. I didn't have much problem getting them out, but it sounds like some people do, so be ready. ?
My only complaint with my stock wheel is that my gloved hands don't easily fit between the wheel and the paddles. My grip is loose enough that I can keep my hands over the paddles, but still feels weird.
Mine gives an expected of 36 so I assume the minimum is in the 20s because 24 is where the car imploded.
As much as I love being able to monitor the pressures from in the car, TPMS is coming off.
I imagine it just gets old and doesn't phase you anymore.
For instance, I made a post in a Facebook thread about my car, yesterday, and someone STILL said "you mean BMW". Like, yeah, I laughed at that, up until about 2021. ?
Assuming that's where we change tire settings and click the button to re-read the pressures, then I've done that. It still gives me "expected psi" which is a problem because I'm not at it.
My old policy stated "no timed or otherwise competitive events". Driving Education was covered. Maybe...
