In case I didn't say it before, If there is a clean solution for closing the passenger-side exhaust hole, I'll take it. I'll definitely be building a single-exit exhaust.
I leave my keys in the car at the track and autocross. I like to walk up and open the back without going around to the door, especially if I have stuff in my hand.
We're not saying everybody needs a button on the trunk, but some of us could really use it.
This is the first car I've owned that...
I dunno. That's pretty serious to me. That's why....
..I gave up on all the tuning work arounds. I realize every platform starts out with wonky, awkward ways of making cars faster. For me, it's not that big of a deal. I am having plenty of fun with stock power until the day comes we're making...
The covers are TireRack brand..I can't remember where I got the rack but I'm thinking Harbor Freight, if that helps. My floor space is far too valuable real estate, so I'm always getting stuff off the ground or dumping it off in storage. ?
I'm jealous of you guys going single exit. They look proper and sound amazing. Sadly, I live in CA so I need a way to be quiet, when necessary.
I really wanted an RK, but the wait time is out of control.
I was going to try a Tomei, but I keep reading about how they like to crack at the welds...
Then my results are all over. Without the anti-fouler, I got a CEL almost right away for the cat not working. I then put a 90* spacer on, with an element in it, and got a CEL for low voltage to the O2 sensor. Both were predicable. With that spacer on, in different configurations, I kept getting...
It is for me. There are times where the key is in the car while I'm needing to get into the trunk. Actually, it's happened quite a bit. This is great for someone like me.
I have a basic anti-fouler, with no element in it, that I got from Autozone. The sensor hit the bottom of the fouler, so I had to add a spacer and two crush washers.
The first time I drove the car, I got a CEL for the heater circuit. Weird. I reset and didn't get it for about 200 miles. After...
True. Some of us aren't into drag racing but the difference is even more so on a road course. If you take the (fraction of a second gained in shifting) X (number of gear changes made per lap), you get a reasonably substantial time savings.
Kinda. I have two cars that are MT. They are a ton of fun, one is fast as f**k but would be faster with AT. As mentioned above: manual cars are no longer the faster option, so for this track car, I'm staying AT because I'm not looking to downgrade performance/lap time. When I want to have fun...
