I don't like to point to styling comparisons like many people do ("Ford Fusion looks just like an Aston Martin" etc), but at that angle the rear quarter looks very much like a Cayman. I think the overall shape of the roofline and quarter are substantially different, but from that angle it...
Based on Toyota's idea of a sporty wheel on their current models, I had my doubts that they would design something decent for the Supra. That looks great though.
Fake vents or not, and with horrendous fender gap, this thing is looking good.
Yeah, I have to agree. I thought the Toyota was going to target a different buyer. I like the RCF, but it's not what I want. I think it's a good formula for a fairly big, heavy, 4 seater with a big engine. A nimble, 2 seater, ~3000lb Supra, to me, is asking for a manual. The ZF8 is a great...
I just got back from Ireland where I saw a ton of the European Rangers. Pretty cool trucks, I'd definitely consider one as well. The Colorado is tough competition too though I think (whatever their off road package is, mainly), but I think I'd take the Ranger. The Tacoma is a great truck too...
I love them too, but try to stick to coffee as much as I can.... that said, I was in Canada last week and they have a Winter Edition Redbull up there.... Plum flavored, which seems odd, but it was great. I suggest heading up to Canada and grabbing a can. :p
I don't understand the desire for rev-matching at all, especially in a car like the FRS. I was driving one of my 5-spd cars a few days ago and blipped the throttle to downshift into a turn and thought, "why would anyone want the car to do that on it's own?" My right foot would be very confused...
I think the confusion is due to the BMW having a paper that shows SOP this November. That should have them on the road by Spring 2019, which is a bit early for a 2020 designation. Fall 2019 as a 2020 works for me though.
And also...
"The sports car, developed jointly with BMW, won't be sold with Toyota badges, and will instead feature the Gazoo Racing nameplate."
So you'll have a Gazoo Racing Supra GR? I'm still not understanding how everyone is saying that the car will be badged as a Gazoo Racing Supra...
That's what I love about the 86, but also why I never got one. There's not much that I truly enjoy in new cars. The 90's cars got a lot right and to have a new car that feels like that is very appealing.... but I spent about $5k on a 240sx instead and figured that was close enough.
