I was on vacation when this news came out, but I haven't seen it mentioned here. Similarly to BMW, Toyota recently stated that they will have a hybrid or fully electric option for every vehicle in their lineup by 2025. Sounds like if the Supra is still around by then at least, there will be a...
I would have bought an 86 years ago without the Scion badge. Now it's at the end of it's model life so I'm waiting to see what's next. I just hated that brand. Hell, they could have sold me the same exact car with a Lexus badge for $35k.
If this counts as two different cars in their 3 sports car lineup they could have just saved themselves some trouble and added a Celica and Supra trim to the 86.
Surely a Celica would have a manual transmission, right? :p
I'm not a fan of this naming idea, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I had a '75 Celica myself, so the Celica name means more to me anyway.
This is exciting stuff. I still don't see myself as a buyer without a manual transmission, but it's looking to be a very impressive car for those that don't care about that.
My mind must be playing tricks on me, because I can't understand how these are both based off the prototype proportions. The first one looks short and stubby, while the second one looks much more sleek.
I'm confused by this. Looked at Autoguide's list from 2016 and Porsche isn't on there either. JD Power has them tied for 1st place with Lexus. Does Autoguide not count Porsche for some reason?
Let's hope they like what they find.
They just let me down by dropping the 5 speed in the Tacoma that I was going to get, so now I'm just waiting again.
These numbers are still FAR off from the GTR. It will be interesting to see how it turns out though, definitely seems like a strong...
Cool to see all of that at least. I've never had time to spend in Tokyo, I always go straight into the Nagoya area. I need to plan better for my next trip.
