  1. Post 6/2020 ECU unlocked in US

I'm planning on doing the same. MHD and BM3 fit my goals with the car.
  2. How much attention does your car get?

Got some attention from some teens on a date over the weekend; they were in a Jeep Liberty, so I gave them a few revs for some crackles and pops (locked ECU, not a crackle tune).
  3. How much attention does your car get?

It definitely has the modern 2JZ in the B58. There's a couple of us who track our Supras up here, myself and @WSUPRA along with a few others who I don't think are on the forum.
  4. How much does a decent wrap normally cost around here?

I got full frontal and doors PPFed and a full body ceramic coat. Cleaning is so much easier.
  5. What map are you using? (JB4)

I've run multiple track days on it; pulls extremely hard on the straights. Custom tune is worth the investment. Map 2 doesn't compare because its not smooth power delivery. I'm reaching the point where a proper tune would clean up the powerband.
  6. What did you do to your Supra today?

Swapped out the key fob battery after the car complained about the old one being "empty" (still was working to unlock and start the car)
  7. What map are you using? (JB4)

I really recommend talking to @Jesse DaBears for a custom map 6. It's a night and day difference compared to the presets.
  8. Half the Price of a Base 911... More Than Half the Fun?

Same here. It depends on the deductible you choose and your self-valuation of your car.
  9. Half the Price of a Base 911... More Than Half the Fun?

At the bare minimum, I wouldn't go to a new track without insurance.
  10. How much attention does your car get?

Plenty of attention in Seattle b/c afaik nobody else in the area really drives it downtown. Lots of tech money over in neighboring Bellevue/Kirkland/Redmond, so it doesn't gather as much attention there unless we're all cruising. Head more than 30 minutes in any direction, its a showstopper...
  11. Half the Price of a Base 911... More Than Half the Fun?

I have noticed that the Caymans and Boxsters do get the "black sheep" treatment from most Porsche owners in their 911s. Everyone either bought a 911 or is thinking of getting one at some point. On a separate note, DIY maintenance on the Supra is largely easier than on Porsches. Engine...
  12. How much does a decent wrap normally cost around here?

More doors = higher cost. It seems slightly high, but not too surprising. PPF and wraps for 2 door cars can be between $6-7k. Maybe shop around?
  13. 2nd opinion

OEM wheels are ~25 pounds a corner, and forged.
  14. 2nd opinion

Come to think of it, the price makes me worry that this set of wheels won't.
  15. 2nd opinion

Is the lug pattern 5x112? Also, you may want to check to see if that fits. Most people running 20s go down to 30 profile, not up to 40.

    Supra Sessions on Facebook
  17. First sports car

Congrats! Welcome to the club. I work from home, so no daily commute to contend with, but I do use it for groceries, tracking, and spirited drives. For pros and cons: Pros: Even in stock form, its quick, both in a straight line and around the corners. Attention-getting (you'll stand out on...
  18. What did you do to your Supra today?

There's a meeting from 11:30-2 for GR owners (86 twins and Supras) on Sunday down at Griot's in Tacoma. Most of the Supra owners out here really only use them as summer cars, so this will probably be the last meet for the year. Outside of Supra-specific stuff, there's usually daytime meets on...
  19. What did you do to your Supra today?

Got the Verus brake cooling kit and Verus master cylinder brace in today. The brace should be quick, but probably gonna talk to Seattle's BMW guru to get the cooling kit installed during the track off-season (no time due to other commitments for me to install)
  20. Updated A91-MT delivery day

Some Bronco owners be paying $30k+ without batting an eye. Glad this community understands markup is a problem.
