There's basically nothing in WA state unless you want to pay for 100+ octane gas from Pacific Raceways or the ethanol station in Snoqualmie.
You want a 91 tune or a custom 92 tune.
Since I haven't seen any new Supra Sessions posts here on the forum for the Seattle area folks,
here's a Facebook event for the June meetup
tl;dr:
Supra Sessions on Sun June 12th from 1-2pm at Mizuki's Japanese Buffet.
As mentioned earlier, I'd recommend getting a custom map6 from Jesse. It's tailored to your car, and power delivery feels smooth.
Map2 was a bit peaky, and map6 feels night and day better.
Well here in the states, the dealers are expected to fix some sort of safety issue that was discovered about the car. In this case, they update the ECU for a braking problem, which has the effect of software locking it.
For those of you in the PNW, you guys should 100% check out Proformance Racing School's skills clinic. They did a great job teaching you what some limits of the car feel like.
That's fair.
To better reword my original response -- I believe the recommendation for cars on pump gas, if you don't get a custom tune (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) is to stick with map1 or map2 and get your logs checked by someone who knows how to read the logs. Jesse is the go to guy for Supras. I...
Don't go above map2 on pump gas; lots of people who've run map3 on pump gas have blown up their turbos (check out the F30 bimmerpost forum, plenty of people there who found that out the hard way).
Hopefully not, we love to see differing opinions, but also expect some truth to be thrown your way.
Your opinion -- in the meantime, I've gotten love from Ferraris, AMG GTs, 911s, M5 CSes, etc. Had some non-car people ask "is it a Porsche?"
Two things here: lots of sales isn't necessarily a...
@Jesse DaBears is the expert on the JB4 and custom Map6 setups for you.
As for your experience, I've run map2 before and I did notice spikes on boost when datalogging. Getting a custom map6 solved it.
1. I did; an alignment fixed it. You won't need a full suspension kit.
2. I haven't seen anyone on the forums do this, and also, you're dailying your car and not tracking it. Everything you mentioned is really not necessary for you.
