Getting back to the original topic,
I'd say its best to stay cautiously optimistic. Happy that there are several players in the game.
The press release doesn't explicitly say anything about BMW nor does it provide any dates; I wouldn't start inferring anything just yet. We all saw what happened...
I think it's likely the second case where the data was supposed to be embargoed and they weren't supposed to share.
I don't see any benefit from them faking the results. It alienates a potential customer base in Z owners, and it lowers their reputation and credibility overall. Not saying the...
Owned: this is my first car
Driven regularly: '99 Camry and '04 Highlander (both the family cars that I used a lot in high school)
The Toyota logo runs in the family.
Endless MX72s with Endless 650 brake fluid feel excellent. I think you'd get similar results there. CSG CP spec and GLOC are the others I've seen mentioned for hard street use.
I actually had similar results with my buddy's GT4. He took me to the cleaners on the track, but the Supra's torque gives it the legs on straights as well. Probably would've been closer if he went PDK instead of 6-speed.
Red interiors only came with Launch Editions, and were added as an option to 22s (hard to get though). 21s only have black interiors from factory. And you're right, heated seats, not steering wheel.
I'm at almost double the mileage and no engine issues. Also, the B58 is the standard motor for a lot of the BMW lineup for at least 3 years now. Haven't seen any major things pop up on those other cars yet. Also, probably worth noting, we're better off paying attention to cars like the M340i...
Nothing mechanical. Red is a new interior color option on the 22s, and I think heated seats (or steering wheel) became standard.
The 21 oil burning thing was a vocal minority who complained -- fixed with 5w/30 for the most part.
