Mk7 is my daily, FBO was faster than my supra was stock 😂 35 mpg highways too. roomy, easy to see out of. power-on understeer is atrocious, though it handles well generally.
It's a nice humble car to drive when you don't want to be "that guy" in the loud sportscar.
also 100k mi had since new...
looks good, just need to tweak duty bias a bit to flatten out the torque curve. map 1 is a good fit for this car.

yes absolutely, the JB4 limitation of not being able to run a lot of mid range boost is much easier on the clutch. I know a lot of people are replacing clutches on just MHD 91 maps lol
for 91-93 try map 1 first and see how timing looks
it seems to just be the calc_tq>47 causing the closures.
In your good log, you see >47 tq at 3300, 4000, and 5000. At 5000 you can see it even try to pull boost back a little. So your best bet is starting to lower duty bias around those areas in increments 3-5 or so until calc_tq stays under...
yeah I get boost spikes when letting off and sometimes between shifts. I'll have to see with Terry if we can just have WGDC drop to 0 between shifts or something. Just look at boost2, the throttle definitely keeps boost under 28.
If you get on newer firmware you can see Aux3 is true wastegate...
looks fine to me, don't worry about the calc_tq thing unless you are trying to diagnose boost stuttering/throttle closures. Gets worse at higher boost and E%
yeah you probably aren't wrong, there just aren't really many resources besides what you contributed, which is greatly appreciated.
Honestly I'd love to just run a compare bin on stock vs an OTS map, I learn best from reverse engineering 😂
Eh its really just cause JB4 is easy to tune. Really just 2-3 tables to adjust, anyone with half a brain can do it with a guide like this. Making your own DME maps... you have probably taken classes or been trained, or learned over decades like you.
BEF works for some since it is easy to exceed...
collector/value enthusiast somehow doesn't know the MTs will be worth double a 2020 in 20 years.
I stand by the A91-MT will end up the most valuable then. Burnout white specifically.
Heres a good visual (i think) of getting MT cars to work right on JB4:
Reduce duty bias until calc_tq stays below 48 to prevent triggering "injection monitoring", where the car will pull boost if it thinks its using more fuel than it should. This car needs a reduction in duty5000.
Too low...
100% dependent on the fuel.
Map 1 is probably all you can get out of 91.
A map 6 between Map 1 and 2 is best for 93:

FOL won't really impact timing but it will bring trims closer to 25 (neutral position). Logs look fine, you are losing a little power to timing but its not terrible
Typically E40 you can run an additive 6 psi but with a taper up to 5k. I am around +6.3 psi on my car, it is about 20-21 psi but depends on IATs. Not really far off from an MHD map, but will never be as potent due to running leaner. (jb4 cant control AFR... yet)
FOL >70 starts to make the car...
you just need to drop duty4000 by 5 or so till the throttle clears up. yeah try to keep calc_tq under 49.
The car seems to take E50 fine but thats because boost is low. Ideal blend is more like E40 so you can run more boost, and timing should be fine.
