All signs look like its about making the right amount of noise with the right people.. as usual. Thanks for the info people have been putting up - seeing some delivered without the front plate shows that its certainly not a legal issue.. just a procedural one.
Interesting. Thanks for chipping in! My understanding is that the changes came in to effect from February 2023. If this car was delivered after then, there is hope!
The Plate Mount saga continues.. I've had a few calls/texts/emails from Toyota as well as my dealer and everyone's looking into it. At the very least I do get the impression they are all aware of exactly how intimately this is all connected to me not just cracking the shits and buying an M2...

Thanks man! One step at a time.. Right now I'm fighting the good fight with my dealer to make sure they don't put a godawful front plate on my car before its delivered. It looks like this is going to be a long term problem for everyone in Australia.

I see a lot of posts talking about attaching things with 3M tape. I couldn't find a definitive thread and after some googling, realised that there seems to be an endless amount of different Automotive 3M tapes.
