It is slower coz it has lower gear ratio than manual. And its Asin box if I remember correctly.
I know its slower, just wanted to show even in what is considered a purist fun car ppl go for auto half of the time, where manual should be like 9:1. This one wasnt speed related ;)
Coz manual 718 gearing IS to long lol. 2nd goes to 120kph, 3rd to 170, 4th to 220 on the dash. That is riddiculous. Why would I want a manual 718 if I can drive around 20-120 in 2nd only. Manual is supposed to be the fun choice and I cant even use it 2much. I drove 718T on the curvy road, all in...
The purists dont buy manuals in higher performance cars, thats the truth. I lately asked salesman about 718 in manual at Porsche, how it is compared to PDK. He said he never seen 718 with manual sold in this Porsche dealer so he can't help. I can count used M2's with manual with 1 hand around...
I'm more like no manual doesnt disqualify the car anymore. Like I really like Supra and 8ZF combo. Would I take manual for a 3.0? Maybe yea, since like U said, its a last call.
And for sure I would take it for 2.0. But BMW manuals arent the best in business, Porsche has cool shifters, also new...
I had this too, but it started with my fav car of all time - Ferrari 458. I was saying back then that car would have been perfect IF it had a manual. Then I drove one on the track for some time and... that dual clutch was just perfect. I didnt miss manual 1 bit. But I was tough, thought maybe...
Thx, I saw that vid already :)
The goal is street car with some track work here and there for the weekends, so prob wont do huge-ass wing and big splitter since I need daily driveability, but thx for the tip on the aero. I just really enjoy lighter weight feeling in the car so exploring the...
Reviving this thread.
So there are few points for quick weight reduction:
-seats (~ -25kg)
-battery (~ -17kg)
-good set of lightweight wheels (~ -10kg)
-lets say Tomei titanum Type D dual exhaust (~ -15kg)
This is ~65- 67kg (~150lbs) removed mostly from back of the car. So it shifts the weight...

Also, EU Z4 is still 340hp 11:1 compression ratio, like 2020 USA Supra and EU Supras.
The new M440i, if I understand correctly, is 2port 340hp B58 + hybird system that achieves 375hp combined, so its not 6port 380hp M440i ver like USA ones.
So if Im not...
I drove M440i, that car really goes from 0 when launched. But it does it with 0 drama, I was like 130kph in ~7s and was like yaaaaaawn... oh already 130, lets slow down....
Great crusier tho.
BTW they put 12.0 and 12.1 with Supra there on dry surface so in perfect scenario they should be even.
Yes, I know, should be 232hp in EU.
That last minute changes is only a rumour, I personally dont belive 2much in it.
Yes, 4.3 in prev model. Mine has 4.67 (almost same in gear speeds like Supra, thats why I love Supra agressive gearing) and there are days I think I should have went for 4.88...
Says 235PS, 250nm 1270kg and 0-100kph in 6.3 (not 60mph). This 0-100 may be conservative claim like prev model, maybe with some high rpm start 6 flat or even below ;)
And on good n/a package I see here a potential to get at least 250hp, maybe 260 on top end parts, with 280nm at least. That...
I drove the PDK 718T this week, also have experience with DCT BMW M2C and I have to say, for a standard torque converted transmission the Supra ZF is great. Upshifts ale almost PDK fast, its the downshifts that are a bit slower, but really not by much.
8ZF ia good enough for Giulia QV, new M4...
Do Yellow from Edition 1.0 FRS pls :D And some blue? ;)
I think the lights are too sharp and agressive, I think it will look milder than that, less sharp overall. Too good looking to be true :D

RC86 ;)
Imo photoshopped af, left lamp is different from right one (more BRZ like), and the lines are too weird.
This is what we can expect, 99%
