It technically is safe assuming you're running a map 6 that's tuned for it. There have been JB4 pure800/850 builds that have more or less worked alright in the past.
That being said, nobody, not even Jesse, recommends running a hybrid/upgraded turbo on JB4; you really should get an unlock and...
These errors all stem from the steering angle sensors being in conflict or not reading properly. Same thing that happens if your steering wheel is way off-center after an alignment.
Double check your install to ensure everything is on straight. May have to get it recalibrated at Toyota or...
Stage 1 barely does anything; it's Stage 2 for quicker shifts while still feeling smooth, Stage 3 for even quicker shifts but more aggressive/firm shifts (they still feel pretty smooth to me, though.)
Haven't had time to go to the strip or get any runs in since getting the revised E40 map done, sadly. Nearest 1/4 strip that's open on weekends is almost 2 hours away in Orlando which sucks (Bradenton strip doesn't do test n tune / open drag days on weekends and I'm not interested in an hour...
Duraflex never makes their products for any form of performance, it's always just "to look cool" (usually doesn't), so I wouldn't trust it. It'd be more cost effective to get a hood vent and pay a body shop to install it for you, if you care about the performance aspect of it.
Also, that hood...
I run ~E40 without issues, but it did take Jesse and I several revisions to get it fully smooth (part of that is also because of the scorching IAT's thanks to the Florida heat, though.)
Personally I'd stick to a Pure 800/900 or Omega 65 over doing a top-mount kit if what you want is 600 WHP or so. Not much of a point in a top-mount at that power unless you really wanna make your car a show car.
Anything that tries to make your $60K car look like a supercar is more disgusting than huge wangs and giant splitters.
Looks like they're trying to trick non-car-people into thinking the Supra is a rear engine car. There is no other reason why you'd put that abomination on your rear window.
MK5's especially on JB4 respond rather poorly to 91 and octane boosters don't seem to help much.
Burger likes to over-promise a lot given they advertise map 1 as being practically made for 91 (such as suggesting a easy 100 HP gain even though to actually get that much over stock dyno numbers...
We've been over this, inflation has changed it to 2.14 weeks.
And quite frankly I'd wager a guess that my feet pics violate the Geneva Convention, and I'll have no part in becoming an international fugitive.
Received it. Surprisingly good quality for the price (it isn't solid gold but it's not crazy-flimsy plastic) - only concern is that it's very glossy being, well, plastic.
Will post pics later, install it in a week or two when I get time.
From personal experience, if you live someplace that isn't super rural / low-population, always book appointments for as early in the day as possible before taking the car to Toyota for anything. They only have maybe one "Supra certified tech" per location and if you end up just showing up, or...
All comes down to which you believe you'd enjoy more;
A true sports car with huge track and street potential, that looks unique to anything else on the road and draws attention quite frequently, whilst being not necessarily the most comfortable car to drive in.... or avery fun sedan with big...
All settings excluding the slider bar settings are global.
I've had problems with failsafe saving a desired PSI as well, try some random decimals like 23.1 or 23.4 and see if it helps.
