It’s in Virginia, but we follow California emissions standards in the counties and cities which have emissions testing.
There were no problems passing the test with the "stock" calibration file from Ecutek.
To amend my point based on what @razorlab said, don't sell the OEM downpipe until you are absolutely certain you will never need it again.
I was originally going to keep mine "just in case" but the service advisor at the shop I initially went to talked me into selling it to them, not realizing...
I went back and forth with my tuner several times with turning different monitors on, and the GESI cat in the ETS downpipe always threw a MIL error when the heated oxygen sensor monitor was enabled. After I went back to the OEM downpipe it was still rejected because the catalyst monitor would...
It's been a while and I wanted to follow-up on this. @visconti is correct, there's no way to pass emissions testing without the OEM cataylic converter sub assembly and the stock ROM calibration file.
I tried buying four different used OEM catalytic converters and was burned on each deal, so I...
Just following up, over in my other thread asking about OEM downpipe fitment with 2020 vs 2021+ parts, this was mentioned:
I'm in touch with the tuner and we're going to start trying to work through this with the tune. I'll post a follow-up on the outcome.
I currently have the ETSi downpipe installed, it's also "EPA approved" and I don't have a check engine light, but nonetheless the ECU is reporting "Unsupported" for the O2 and Catalyst tests. I'm working with the tuner to get this figured out, but as a backup I'm sourcing a used OEM downpipe.

I discuss having some issues with passing emissions due to my aftermarket work. I'm trying to source a 2020 Supra OEM Catalytic...
I worked with a reputable local shop to unlock my 2020 ECU and flash a custom tune. It's been great, except now that my car is above 30k miles and older than 4 years I have to pass emissions to renew my registration.
It turns out that the ECU now reports one-too-many tests as being...
I was, unfortunately, sideswiped yesterday evening. Thankfully no one was hurt and it was relatively low speed, but there is damage to the passenger door, rocker panel, and passenger side front fender panel. I was wondering if anyone has experience with a body shop in the Northern Virginia area...
Just chiming in to say I've experienced the issue but only shortly after cold startup. Presumably it was within the 30 second start-up window that the owner's manual discusses. This was on a 2020 with the brake recall software fix, followed by a bench unlock with an Ecutek tune. I only observed...
I used to avoid CITGO because it was one of the "cheap" gas stations in my area, but ever since I learned their TriClean gas is TopTier, it's my favorite gas station now.
It's cheap because CITGO is Venezuelan gas.
This is a very common misconception. BMW did not offer Toyota a menu of platforms and say "Ja ja, just pick ze one you vant," the underpinnings of the Supra and Z4 were codeveloped together. Check out this YouTube video for a comprehensive overview of that effort:
After rewatching this when I...
