  1. Front and Rear Camber Adjustment

the camber adjustment in the rear isn't really going to do too much to pull the wheel inward at the top - if rubbing is the concern. But there is a natural camber in the rear which will camber the tire inwards at the top as you experience suspension compression. you can always find an off camber...
  2. Front and Rear Camber Adjustment

I no longer have the Supra and I cannot answer what is more reliable. OEM components are generally tested to last quite a long time. When you purchase aftermarket control arms like the SPL ones I bought for camber adjustment, they are spherical bearings - this means they are stiffer than OEM...
  3. Michelin PS4S Star Spec

I never did. I sold my Supra early this year for a GR86. On the Supra I experienced PSS, Apex V601, A052 and Indy500 tires. All 4 tires actually work well on the street, surprisingly the A052s had the most luxurious and quiet street ride, and also offered the most peak grip on track. For value...
  4. High turnover on MKV Supras?

Weight transfer in all directions. Having FLCA and Caster bushings helped to remove the slop from the front-end and make turn-in much more eager (as an example of one change), but when you brake or deal with esses on a track, the transitions are far more noticeable - despite having more tire...
  5. High turnover on MKV Supras?

Forgot about this thread. Should mention I did end up selling my Supra over Presidents day weekend. I'll actually be stepping back into the 86/BRZ twins (but the new generation). I appreciate the helpful individuals on here. For me, it came down to two major areas - this being a weekend/track...
  6. Track Driving Fluid intervals?

Here's my latest Blackstone Oil Analysis report. On this oil I have gone to 4 HPDE events (1 event over 100F, others were pretty cool 60-70F). I don't daily the car; the miles are to/from events and backroads. This is the GR 0w20 oil - this sample was collected on my 2nd ToyotaCare service. My...
  7. Question; regarding drain on battery

I have a small tender b/c I don't have any urgent time needs on any of the cars in my family. On the Supra if I come back from a long highway drive, the charger turns 'green' within 24 hours. If I've been taking short trips or left the car sitting a few weeks, it has taken 48 hours to turn...
  8. When do you think we'll know more about 2023 models?

for this reason, i think Toyota has no rush to announce anything about the 2023, so they can clear 2022 sales. they're also not rushed by other car makers as they too are behind on production/releases. announcing 2023 early makes sense if there were meaningful changes.
  9. Front camber

When adjusting Toe in front, it can impact camber and caster. They're all connected.
  10. Weird noise in door

push - firmly - on all the panels. my car had a loose quarter window trim panel. there's a few other creeks but i think that's actually coming from the cargo cover bar when the car flexes. the trim around the passenger door on my car had a clip not fully seated too.
  11. 👣 Official: Toyota Announces Manual Transmission Supra!

off topic, but I recognized your avatar from when I had my Golf R haha. it's hearsay but for what little it's worth, having spoken with those who have an actual stake in changes that Toyota makes to their car line-ups, they recommended me to trade or sell my car now if i want to maximize value...
  12. Sport Plus mode activated but benefits?

The second settling either didn’t stick or I simply didn’t follow through on it. Either way I blame myself. Thanks y’all. Twitchy throttle is back in business.
  13. Throttle hesitation

Before and after - but before the recall my car was barely driven as a daily. After the recall and driving the car more regularly it happens almost once every drive with different observed circumstances. I really don’t like it.
  14. Sport Plus mode activated but benefits?

I'll double check tomorrow. I'll basically run through the same steps again and see if something didn't stick. Everything worked well the first time I did it prior to the recall and I'm using the same saved instructions. It's not the worst thing the way it is programmed now...either way I'd be...
  15. Sport Plus mode activated but benefits?

The gap for me is what worked before for Sport Plus isn't 100% the same now. What I'm unable to do, compared to before is select Sport Plus in the main menu. I can select Sport Plus for individual items in Sport Individual mode though.
  16. Sport Plus mode activated but benefits?

I didn't notice the coding instructions for Sport+ get amended/updated since the recall - wondering if we're just unable to successfully code it in as before or did I glance over the updated instructions? Thanks!
  17. Turn8 Laguna Seca | 1-2-2022 (Advanced Group)

Started off 2022 with a track day at Laguna! Might be my last one until they complete work on repaving the track (maybe this year according to news articles), as the conditions continue to worsen and I personally would like to start getting to know my actual home track, Sonoma Raceway. The only...
  18. MKV Future Classic?

I hear you. Frankly, I wouldn't turn down a properly modified EV Supra either. Making old cars reliable and fun again (in a consciously different manner) is awesome. Not everyone wants a spaceship...the old designs were fun!
  19. MKV Future Classic?

this is sort of the point. the heart of the car is in every other car and washer/dryer/refrigerator at this point. same with the transmission.
  20. weird clunky noise at low speed braking

    So installation error?
