This is a good sign, Toyota D4S is generally loud af hahaha

Guff, my 2007 IS350 had DI and never sounded this loud. Hope this is a pre-production thing that will get ironed out. I hate diesel-like noises from engines....unless its a Cummins.

That's because Toyota and Lexus generally put big sound deadening panels over the DI pumps to mitigate noise. The pumps themselves are pretty loud a lot of the time. Porsche DI pumps are loud as all hell too, its pretty funny hearing one idling.

Just need a louder exhaust and some ethanol to make the noise go away though

FYI, BMW engines are known for being noisy. My N54 with its piezo injectors is annoyingly loud at times.
