those estimates are way beyond what I've been told, but I guess we will see...

as an aside, take a look at FRS/86 sales and then come back to the table lol.

No way it's a 50/50 split. I think it's more like 65/35 split favoring the Z4. 30K Supras annually is well above anything I've heard anywhere else.
How many E89s did they sell per year?

Idk, I think the Supra will sell better considering it's lower price tag. So like the sales number above show, E89's sales were all that high.

Well the last time a Z4 reached global sales greater than 30K units was 2003. The last time a Supra did that was 1987.
Also the Z4 doesn't have a worldwide internet based hate campaign currently being waged against it either. So it's got that going for it.

It only has to sell more then 13,000 total in North America and it will be a sales success, because it will have out sold its predecessor lol
And when that happens,I'll say "so, what was that about the MKV being a flop?"

We have to remember the A80s sold poorly because of the rising Yen. We also have to keep in mind that the Z4 at the time was a much cheaper car. Even with inflation it was still cheaper than the A80. Now that the tables have turned, we shall see.

2003 Z4 Z4 2dr Roadster 2.5i $33,100. With inflation $45,171
2003 Z4 Z4 2dr Roadster 3.0i $40,250. With inflation $54,929

Yeah, but I doubt the kids with no money or life posting all these videos and comments are in a place to buy a $50k+ car. Like with the R35 (ugly, no I6 & MT), I think people will start accepting them once they hit the streets and as time passes.
