I'm with Tsar. No one here wants a markup, but I think everyone here is calling BS on the GM's reason for dropping the markup.

The only defense I see is you defending what you posted as right because a GM told you that is what happened.

It always feels good to get a discount, whether it's a real discount or a perceived discount.

So when a car has a markup of $20000 and then you get to buy the car at MSRP, you think you scored $20000. But in reality, you paid exactly what they want you to pay and you felt good doing it.

1. We've removed the mark up cause Toyota would shut us down if we didn’t. This car should sell for much more but we can’t mark them up because someone complained.

2. The car is not selling so we need to discount them

You plate should read BMWTOYO ;;; The only time I noticed dealer mark ups was the first month they hit the floors. It all went away after that.

Everyone can call whatever they like, I just stated what I was told. And everyone keeps bringing it back up. True or not, I don’t really care. I’d never pay a markup either way

I didn’t pay what they wanted, I paid 2k below msrp. We’ve bought over 8 cars from that dealership and never paid MSRP or markups.
