Hard to tell from the pics --- is this new blue metallic or pearlescent? Appears so in some angles, but not others. I personally think the 2-tone wheels would give a more pleasing contrast.

It's just a change in the torque curve, i.e., the torque doesn't dip as much after 4k RPM. HP is just a function of torque.Interesting that there is a significiant increase in horsepower but virtually the same torque as the 2020 (368 versus 365). I wonder if the engine will feel much different until you get to around 5,000 RPM.
Indeed looks like a great improvement on the engine, damn. Can't imagine the numbers it will pull now with DP and Tune! From Press Release:
The increased output results from a slew of upgrades throughout the engine. The new dual-branch exhaust manifold, with six ports instead of two, improves heat management. A new piston design reduces the engine’s compression ratio from 11:1 to 10.2:1.
The greatly revised engine produces higher torque at higher rpm and retains the eagerness to rev with turbine-like smoothness. Toyota projects that the new engine will reduce the Supra 3.0 model’s 0-60 acceleration time to 3.9 seconds, from 4.1. The 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters carries over for 2021.
Does this mean it has a 3.6s 0-60? crikeyIndeed looks like a great improvement on the engine, damn. Can't imagine the numbers it will pull now with DP and Tune!
Your speaking like you have dynoed a new 2021 Supra with a dyno graph. Please Enlighten us with your super knowledge that you keep sharing with us.It's just a change in the torque curve, i.e., the torque doesn't dip as much after 4k RPM. HP is just a function of torque.
0-60 will feel about the same. The car won't seem like it's out of breath once you're past 80mph or so. You're still limited to 155mph or whatever.
I think the insight is that 2020 owners are screwed, both in resale and in aftermarket. So there has been talk that the B58 heads/tune are being completely changed for the 2021 model, and thus making aftermarket support for the 2020 models obsolete. This is my concern right now. Maybe it is just me being not that educated in how this level of modification works.
Can anyone provide any additional insight or input on this?
Thank,

Well, that is awesome news...I think the insight is that 2020 owners are screwed, both in resale and in aftermarket.
Look at the specs published by Toyota. They literally tell you the torque curve. We're not comparing a flat 6 with an inline 6. MY20 and MY21 are basically still the same engines. Why would the torque curve even change that much?Your speaking like you have dynoed a new 2021 Supra with a dyno graph. Please Enlighten us with your super knowledge that you keep sharing with us.
