Edit:
Thread can be locked.
Order a 2025 MT base model today. Thanks again to those that actually helped!

For those that bought the base model, was there any regrets?

I compiled the differences between the base Automatic (AT) and base Manual (MT).
Note that I bolded the answers, feel free to provide an opinion on this.

The AT features that the MT version does not have, according to Toyota Canada:
Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
Engine Immobilizer
Red Painted Brake Calipers with Supra Logo (on front only)
Front Strut Tower Brace
4-link Rear Suspension with Coil Springs
Hollow front and rear stabilizer bars
Launch Control
Driver Seat Memory System
19" Forged-Aluminum Twin-Spoke Wheels with Dual-Tone Finish

The MT features that the AT does not have:
Brake Assist (BA)
Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)

Premium options for both Automatic and Manual:
Wheel Lock Set
Cargo Area Mat
19” Frozen Gunmetal Wheels
Leather Seats
Wireless Apple CarPlay Compatibility
12 Speaker JBL Audio System
8.8" Touch Screen with Touchpad Rotary Control
USB Audio Input
Embedded Navigation
Head-Up Display
Parking Support Brake (Not Available for 3.0L MT)
Toyota Supra Connect (4 year trial): SOS, Emergency Call, Stolen Vehicle Recovery Qi-Compatible Wireless Charging Tray with Light Indicator
Front & Rear Clearance Sonar

Cliff notes:
For a 2025 MT Base 3.0:
Are the front brakes the same as a Premium? Answer: No, they're not painted red. Same caliper, just a different color.
Are the rear brakes the same as a Premium? Answer: Yes, on a 2024+ MT base, the rear brakes are the same. Link
Is the screen smaller than the Premium? Answer: No, same size on the 2025+
Does the MT base come with the same wheels as the AT base? Answer: Yes

Can the MT base be lowered on coil overs easily? or it's hard to find stuff?
Can the audio be upgraded easily or it's costly + a pain to do (like to hear it from someone that's done this)

Price difference:
$74,274.99 CDN tax in for a Base Auto or Manual
$82,128.49 CDN tax in for a Premium Auto or Manual

$7,853.50 CDN difference

Thanks in advance!

The main thing about manual and auto is, which do you enjoy more or is more suitable for your life. I personally like manual as a weekend drive but auto for daily. I can't chime in on the rest because I didn't know they had the base model here in Canada.

I don't mind having either or.

It's actually the rest that I'm more concerned about haha!

This is a car you'll want to get fully loaded with zero compromises unless you're planning to make it into a race car. None of this I don't need this so remove option BS. Just get it all and decide later if you want to use it.

The Alcantara seats is one of the few reasons why I'm considering the base model.
And the 8k savings could go towards lowering, exhaust and intake.

I mean if the screen and the front brakes are the same, then I'm going to aim for the base model.

Anyway, you will probably not really have a choice, no idea if the base model will really be available in Canada and there is only one color: red (my dealership was not aware of that model)
Dealerships don't choose what they receive.
Personally, I was fine with Canada having just the premium before.
Not sure for Canada, but in the US Blind Spot Monitor is an option for premium.

Renaissance Red 2.0 is what I want, so it works out great. I'm not interested in any other color.
I'm seeing the dealers with Premiums in stock (auto and manual) but they're not moving and the prices are dropping on them.

Thanks for the BSM info!

It’s a matter of taste.

I got a base model.

I dont care about parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, HUD, or the materials of the OEM seats, or even the CarPlay. Some things I never used, ripped out of the car like the seats, or upgraded with mods.

To me there was only one difference that mattered: The size of the rear rotor and calipers. The smaller rear brakes of the base model make it difficult to find good high performing pads. So much so that to me, the best option was to upgrade mine to the premium size.

Front brakes are exactly the same, just unpainted silver.

Screen is same size now. It was smaller in the earlier years.
Thanks for the info!

Do you track your car?
For daily driving, the smaller rear rotors should be fine, right?

Was the base model your initial choice?
I'll find out this week if the local dealers here (Quebec) can get it or not. I hope they can. I want those seats haha!

Base modèle was not available previously in Canada (The base model was added recently, end of January) so was never in my mind and anyway would have go for premium to have all the extra.
You will have to think do you really want only red or ready to pick up another color and if you only want the non premium. Also do you know if you want MT or automatic or doesn't matter?
Or check with many dealers including outside QC.
That your dealer can "order" one doesn't mean he will receive one. Plus as you mentioned some premium currently in stock could be discounted so that may be interesting. (May change after winter and that production is ending)

Me I waited 1 year and a half to have an allocation, was glad that when my dealership called me, he told me I have a stratosphere coming, are you still interested by a Supra?
And a few days later, I learned that 2026 will be the last year of production... would have started to stress to not have one...
So keep also that in mind if you really want a supra, pull the trigger on what you can have asap

Yes. My car is dedicated to the track. Track brake pads choices on the smaller rotor size are very limited.
For street driving the small rear rotors are just fine.
