The press release said it will be a midsize, so Im assuming that means they will both be the same size^ well even then the dimensions may not really be a match. This is suppose to be a scalable platform allowing the Supra to be a tad bit longer and or wider...maybe?!?
I think what we will get out of the Z4 is knowing what the platform is made up of and possibly the weight to expect what Toyota's new car will come in at.

- The companies agreed to set-up a feasibility study to define a joint platform concept for a mid-size sports vehicle that is to be completed by the end of 2013. The two companies aim to combine each other’s technology and knowledge at a high level to maximise customer satisfaction. Both companies are to share the vision to further collaborate in the field of sports vehicle development.
