Hey All
wanted to pick everyones brain on something that happened to my 21 supra recently. While driving on the highway my drivetrain malfunction alert popped up and i took to the dealer a few days later. They said that the clamp on my charge pipe blew off and that caused my car to go into limp mode. Now the advisor also brought up that there were holes for injection, which i knew about when i installed. I’ve attached pics of the write up the technician put down. I wanted to talk directly with the tech to learn more and how to avoid since the advisor really didn’t know besides what the paper said. Can people of the forum help break down what happened (i’m really trying to get better technical knowledge on this car) and preventative going forward? i had bought & installed a used AA charge pipe and the holes for injection are not sealed, would that be the issue and plugging them be the solution? and what clamp could’ve been the one to pop off? i know the end that connects to the turbo, the c clamp was small and only fit into 2 out of the 3 slots, could that be what popped? thanks for any support my way!
