So just got my car back after installing a twin disc clutch from my shop. Literally drove it 5 minutes when I decided to check to make sure my valves were open on my valvetronic designs exhaust. I hear what sounds like my vacuum lines opening and then the sound of it getting stuck? Immediately followed by a drivetrain malfunction.
Turn the car off then on proceeded back to the shop and the codes were these ghost codes of cylinder misfires.. my shop assumes those may have been there a while.

has anyone actually experienced this? It was extremely random and hasn’t occurred since.
The only thing my guys can assume is upon removing the battery the car had to relearn that I have an aftermarket exhaust? Idk it was odd and I’ll report back if the issue continues. There were so many factors I have to take into account as well. I had the car in sport mode ugh idk I’m grasping straws at this point

Drivetrain Malfunction seems to be the ECU catch all.
I once replaced my plugs in my BMW 435i got in the car, started and it ran rough. "Drivetrain malfunction error" popped up on screen. I panicked because I am thinking the transmission! But on a hunch, I checked the plug wires and one of them wasn't seated.

Gave it a push... "click!"

Started car and error went away.
Clearly nothing to do with the transmission.

My best guess, the shop unplugged something in the install.
Something electronic that gets some level of power, even when the car isn't running. The car software saw it and logged it. But once acknowledged and restarted, went away.

So thinking don't lose sleep over it if you haven't seen it since. :)
